• Can the organization clearly communicate what it is and what it does?
• Can the organization tell you the progress it has made (or is making) toward its goal?
• Do the organization's programs make sense to you?
• Does the organization apply professional standards to its work?
• How does the organization coordinate its work with others, and how does it ensure that the beneficiaries have a say in its decision-making?

Their Community Involvement Program encourages it by
directly involving employees in CSR .
One way Microsoft is helping out is through its annual
Employee Giving Campaign.
The entire company was founded on the idea of giving back.
For every pair of shoes sold, another pair is donated to a child in need.
Disney has been a major provider of aid after natural disasters,
such as the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
HOW CAN WE MAKE IT BETTER? THE WAY FORWARD
• More Companies must get past “why should we?” invest in CSR to “How can we?”
CSR
• Companies need to think about CSR compliance as a normal part of the cost of
doing business, and as providing a competitive advantage.
• Ultimately, our Government, in order to promote CSR, will need to provide the
necessary support and mix of Regulatory and Enabling environment.
