Alliance Air signed MoU with NE Council for flight operations

Who: Alliance Air What: signed a MoU with the North East Council When: 24 September 2014 Alliance Air on 24 September 2014 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the North East Council for flight operations in the North East. The MoU was signed in the presence of the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati and Minister of State for Development of North East Regions VK Singh. Highlights of the MoU • Alliance Air will provide air services to Shillong, Tezpur, Lilabari, Silchar and Guwahati with ATR 42 type of aircraft till 31 March 2016. • North East Council will assist Alliance Air in obtaining concessions on Aviation Turbine Fuel, landing and Route Navigation Facility Charges. • The actual cost of operations shall be reviewed every three months based on the proposed cost.

AAI signed MoU with US Trade & Development Agency

Who: Airports Authority of India What: Signed MoU with US Trade & Development Agency When: 23 September 2014 Airports Authority of India (AAI) on 23 September 2014 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement with the US Trade & Development Agency (USTDA). The agreement was signed for the development of Aviation Security Equipment Testing and Evaluation Programme. This will enable AAI and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) to create clear standards, specifications and testing procedures in accordance with the Indian standards of aviation security.

US Trade & Development Agency (USTDA) USTDA is an independent US Government

foreign assistance agency that is funded by the US Congress.

Its mission is to help companies create US jobs through the export of US goods and services for priority development projects in emerging economies.

USTDA provides grant funding to overseas project sponsors for the planning of projects that support the development of modern infrastructure and an open trading system.

The MoU was signed between the two countries on the sidelines of South-East Asia regional conference of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Dhaka where the traditional medicine was one of the major issues of discussion. Who: HP government and GVK-EMRI What: signed a MoU for free ambulance drop-back service scheme When: 10 September 2014 The facility will be provided to pregnant women, women after delivery and sick children up to one year of age. It will be launched on 14 November 2014. The government will launch 125 ambulances under Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) on Children's Day and the ambulances will be available on the toll free number 102. One vehicle each would be stationed at 116 identified delivery points in the state and additional 9 vehicles would be deployed at delivery points with heavy load, as per the need.

income of 12000 crore rupees per annum.

India is estimated at about 6 lakh acres and the

Garden and in the process reeds will be separated

into various sections so that all coral species can be

made available at one place. The Mithapur Coral

Garden will house nearly all coral species that are

found in Gulf of Kutch.

The agreement for the first time would facilitate

The Union Cabinet on 25 June 2014 approved an in

principle memorandum of understanding (MoU)

between India and China for setting up industrial

parks in the country.

Apart from this, as per the reports, China is

interested in investing in India especially in agro-

processing, tourism and manufacturing. A recent

study conducted by PHD Chamber of Commerce

revealed that China has emerged as biggest trading

partner in the current fiscal for India. It has

replaced UAE. Trade between India and China has

reached 49.5 billion US dollar with 8.7 percent

share in India’s total trade. The other two nations

are

• US – positioned at the second position with 8.1

percent share of 46 billion US dollar

• UAE – positioned at third position with 8 percent

share at 45.4 billion US dollar

the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Rules

laid in Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013.

The Companies Act 2013

The Companies Act 2013 that replaced the

Companies Act 1956 received assent of the

President on 29 August 2013 after being passed by

the Parliament. The Act consolidated and amended

the law related to companies and was notified in

the Official Gazette on 30 August 2013. Some of the

provisions of the Act have been implemented by a

notification published on 12 September 2013.

Some provisions of Companies Act, 1956 is still in

force.’

The Companies Act of 1956 replaced the first

Companies Act that was created in 1919 (the pre-

independent India). The Act of 1956 has been

amended 25 times in all these years since its

formation.

West Bengal and Maharashtra government inked pact on victims of trafficking

of trafficking. As per the MoU, the governments will

identify and repatriate women and children, who

are victims of trafficking.

Reason for establishment of identities and

standard operating procedure

Till now, Maharashtra Police has been sending

Bengali-speaking victim of trafficking women and

children directly to West Bengal without

establishing their identity or following any

procedure. In many cases the victims, who are

repatriated to West Bengal belongs to Bangladesh

and implementation of procedure will help police

May 2014 signed a Memorandum of Understanding

(MoU) with the GeoSpatial Delhi to give Unique

Property Identification Code (UPIC) to all

properties in the civic body’s jurisdiction. This step

will enable SDMC to collect property tax easily.

The MoU was signed because the data of GeoSpatial

Delhi claims that of 14.91 lakh properties in South

Delhi only 4.31 lakh were under the tax net in

2012-13. Whereas the only 20 percent of the

properties are non-taxable for various reasons and

apart from this about 12 lakh properties falls under

the tax net.
