New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) has a unique Placement Department specifically called the Department of HRD- Corporate Relations, Learning and Development & Placements. This department is a leader in career development and placement activities. NHCE commenced placement activities for the first batch in September 2003. Since then leading IT companies have been visiting NHCE on a regular basis. Some of the industry’s giants such as TCS, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Schneider Electric, NTT Data, Mu Sigma, Sattva Group, Triveni Turbines, Zenken Corporation, Sony India and various other companies have visited the institute at regular intervals.

Career development activities at NHCE include providing insights into the complex dynamics of the corporate world and simultaneously fine tuning the students with the current critical industrial & business requirements. The selection process of various companies are constantly changing year after year. Considering the selection process of companies who have visited engineering / management campuses in Bangalore over the past five years, the changes incorporated by them and the process they follow, NHCE has designed its program to equip all students’ to face the selection process with confidence.

Our Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program for students is designed depending on the specific requirements. During the program we ensure that students are given the required and relevant amount of practice in various areas like Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reasoning Ability, Group Discussion, Personality Development and interview.

Training Programs For Students

Basic English Communication TrainingBusiness English Communication (BEC) Certified Trainers are deputed to take sessions on Verbal, Written, and listening skills during the course of the first and second semester of the students’ course.

Aptitude Development ProgramAptitude development is critical at Graduation and Post Graduation level in today’s environment. Corporates and recruiters evaluate prospective candidates based on their aptitude i.e., quantitative, reasoning, verbal ability, data interpretation and problem solving areas. NHCE provides continuous industry relevant training to all students from the first year onwards. Industry experience trainers are selected based on their experience in teaching students for major competitive examinations.

Personality Development/Attitude & Behavioural Development ProgramNew Horizon’s philosophy is to shape the personality of each and every student to suit their career aspirations. The training programs are conducted for students with interest in pursuing careers, interested in positioning themselves as entrepreneurs and also in pursuing higher education.

Technical/Domain Skills TrainingBased on a continuous market research, the Training and Placement team at NHCE identifies specific domain and technical areas every year for training the students. The HRD team members interact with corporate executives and career development counselors on a regular basis to ensure and enable the students to become industry ready.

Campus Recruitment Facilities

New Horizon College of Engineering has state of the art infrastructure facilities to conduct training program and campus recruitment events.

Seminar Halls / Auditorium: Two spacious Seminar Halls each with a seating capacity of 200, are available for branch wise group activities. All Pre-placement presentations by the Corporates are conducted in the Auditorium which has a capacity of 700.

Discussion / Interview Cabins: Air – conditioned discussion and interview cabins are equipped with conference call and Internet facilities. Corporates conduct group discussions, face to face technical & HR interviews in these cabins.

Executive Training Center has a capacity to accommodate 65 students with cluster seating. The center is equipped with LCD, Plug-in internet connection, audio speakers etc. The Corporate Executives utilise this center to interact with students and conduct training sessions and webinars.

I would firstly like to thank our placement department for bringing in L&T Technology Services to our college for the first time, a company that has bagged many good projects in the market. The placement department has taken a lot of pain in training all the students and also in bringing in so many good companies.

It has been a great experience to be a part of New Horizon College Of Engineering.It’s difficult to sum up the memories and experience of four years in few lines. There is something motivational and special in this environment and infrastructure which made us study and enjoy co-curricular activities. All the faculty, staff members and specially Training and Placement department are very helpful and they guided us all the time. Different events and sessions boosted my confidence to a great extent that I can experience at my workplace now. These four years have given me friends for life. It has been an unforgettable journey. I have spent my wonderful days of life in New Horizon College. Thanks to all who have been a part of my life in encouraging me.

I sincerely appreciate the placement department and the faculty for the time and effort they have spent in educating, training and motivating us. Your suggestions and way of scheduling training sessions for specific concepts helped us gain a new understanding of the subject. I thank NHCE for their gracious effort and the patience they put in with the all the students to provide effective trainers and mock sessions which helped us get ready and prepare for the companies to come.It is because of this effort, I am placed in a reputed company (Cerner) and I thank NHCE for helping me at every step on the way.
