looks so beautiful? If so...you might be just what we’re looking for! We are in search of a team of people to take
over the decorating of the church. Assistance and guidance will be available.

Soup Patrol’s 11th Year…
The Mathew 25 ministry of Soup Patrol has ended its 11th year. Over 90 volunteers distributed more than 11,000
cups of soup during the 5 month period from November 1, 2017 to March 30, 2018. About 40
volunteer cooks prepared soup in the MHT kitchen on weekends. In addition to that other volunteers chopped vegetables and meat, baked handmade cookies in the parish kitchen, purchased supplies and brought in raw
ingredients from the food bank. The desire to serve and dedication of the volunteers made this a great year for Soup Patrol. This truly was a team effort and thanks
goes out to all who participated in any way. Our very sincerest gratitude goes out to Jeanette
Arnquist who graciously and spectacularly ran Soup Patrol this year! Thank you for your tireless service!

SAVED BY THE ONE WHO WAS REJECTED Some city teenagers often scorn and reject farm
kids. Yet it's no exaggeration to say that humanity owes its life to farmers who care for the world's crops and livestock. This week's scriptures
remind us that Jesus was as rejected as a shepherd, a farm boy, yet we owe our very lives to him. In this Sunday's reading from the Acts of the
Apostles Peter tells the people that salvation comes through Jesus Christ, the one who was rejected. In John's letter we hear that we have become God's beloved children through Jesus,
whom the world did not know. Lastly, in the Gospel Jesus describes himself as the Good Shepherd
who "lays down his life for the sheep" (John 10:11). Will you join Jesus in laying down your life for
God's beloved flock?
