The trailer for Tamara has a similar story to what I want to make mine as it is about revenge, so I am going to note the

typical conventions of it.

The music at the start is very deep and slow to build tension but it then changes and gets louder and a faster

tempo as the pace of the trailer speeds up.

It also has a voice over explaining the film but this is one of the things that I wont be doing for my project. It then has

sentences appearing on the screen as well as the voice over.

The start of the trailer shows why Tamara would want revenge because she is treated badly and she is vulnerable, however the tone of it changes as she comes back looking

powerful and in control over the people who mistreated her.

Gothika is also a film that has a tone of revenge, however this is more of a psychological film.

It is ironic at the start of the trailer and Penelope Cruz says “You have no idea how it feels not to be trusted.” to Halle Berry as she ends up not being

trusted and being in the same place as Penelope Cruz.

There is no voice over on this trailer but there are sentences which explain the plot. The music is slow and quite high pitched but when the writing is

up on the screen sound effects are used.

It has very dark lighting and also there are lots of flashes of light as there is a thunderstorm, this is typical weather of a horror film.

After the car swerves out of control the screen goes black and then the pace slows slightly.

The pace at the end of the trailer speeds up again which is a typical convention of horror trailers as it makes it seem more exciting and

thrilling.

This trailer is again, very dark lighting. However, this trailer is quite fast paced all the way through as there is a

lot happening inside the house.

There isn't really music on this trailer it is more like sound effects. The sound coming from metronome builds the

tension at the start of the trailer. As it goes on the sound effects get louder and louder.

The end of the trailer ends stereotypically as a face comes towards the screen quickly and with the added sound effect

it is meant to get people a shock.

The audience rarely see anything such as a demon on the trailer it is mostly imagination.
