Mooloolaba warmly welcomes theXYZ Conference 31st August - 2nd September 2015

Soak up the scenery Sunshine Coast beaches are, quite simply, some of the best in the country. From the lookout at Point Cartwright to the calm bay of Mooloolaba Beach, surf at Alexandra Headland, family-friendly Cotton Tree or white sands of Maroochydore; the area has dozens of safe and picturesque beaches to choose from.

We recommend you experience the iconic beach vibe by mixing with the locals and soaking in views of sand, surf and salt from the best vantage point over a meal or cold beverage, at one of the many surf clubs.

Active pursuitsA great way to discover the area is with a stroll or cycle along the paths that weave around the coastline from Mooloolaba to Cotton Tree.

Water pursuits include swimming with humpback whales (seasonal), diving with a shark at Sea Life Mooloolaba or the wreck of the ex-HMAS Brisbane. Learn how to surf, sail, take a jet boat ride or skim the waterways on an eco or sunset cruise.

Other must dos include riding in a sea plane, hitting a round at a champion golf course, indulging at a day spa or learning about the Aussie Surf culture with a hands-on tour.

As a delegate of the XYZ Conference, we look forward to welcoming you to the Sunshine Coast and invite you to stay a little longer and experience our region, outside of the conference room.

Wonders of nature, beachside culture, fresh local food, immersive encounters and world-class events – the Sunshine Coast is one of the most vibrant regions in Australia; renowned for its natural environment, diversity and world-class sporting, tourism and leisure activities.

Mooloolaba and Maroochydore are centrally located and make an ideal base to explore the region. This precinct’s vitality reflects the energy being injected into Australia’s newest CBD, being built in Maroochydore. The area is surrounded by world-class beaches, endless water pursuits, galleries, day spas, alfresco eateries, a thriving live music scene, Sea Life aquarium and seasonal activities including whale watching.
