Park Development Continued

The Final Preliminary Site Plan

for Frontier Park North has

been completed.

Preston Lakes Park

In February 2016, staff attended

an HOA meeting to discuss the

previously-approved playground

design and layout of Preston

Lakes Park. In June 2016, staff

returned to the HOA and pre-

sented the same playground

equipment, adding additional

trash cans and benches, and the

plan was approved to continue.

PARK OPERATIONS

All Park Properties Removed branches left by contract crews; sprayed; fertilized; marked irrigation heads.

Frontier Park Frontier gas easement irrigation repairs have been completed on the soft trail.

Contracted out the mowing on west side ditch; and completed staining soccer buildings and baseball buildings.

General Met with Job Corps and received a materials list; partnership began in July 2016.

RECREATION SERVICES

Summer Recreation Activities

Bowmen Sports Beginner Golf Camp was held June 20 – 23, 8:00am-11:00am, with 5 campers. Rookie Multi-sport Camp, June 27 – 30, from 8:00am – 11:00am with 3 campers. Camps will continue to be offered, June 24 – 27 and August 15 – 18.

Bricks 4 Kidz Mining & Crafting Camp was held June 27 – 30, 9:00am – 12:00pm with 6 campers. Gal-axy Far Away Camp, June 27 –June 30 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm with 8 campers. Camps will continue to be offered the weeks of July 11 – 4 and August 1 – 8.

Archery Summer Session I , June 9 – July 7, Thursdays from 4:00pm – 4:45pm, 10 students are registered. Archery II, 4:50pm – 5:35pm, has 5 students registered. Session II will run from July 14 – August 11.

Camp Gladiator Camp Gladiator last class was on June 23, 2016.

Recreation Services Continued

Engineering for Kids Rocking Rockets Camp was held June 13 – 16 from 9:00am – 12:00pm with 4 campers. Vid-eo Game Design: Traveling into the Future Camp from June 13 – 16 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, had 5 campers. Camps will continue to be offered July 18 – 21 and July 25 – 28 and August 8 – 11.

Tennis Programs Three summer camps are being offered: Session I, June 27 – 30, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, had 9 students registered. Next camps are July 18 – 21, 8:30 am – 10:00am, and August 8 – 11, 6:30pm – 8:00pm.

Summer Adult Softball The summer season began on June 16. 7 teams are registered.

Stroller Strides (FIT4MOM) Classes continue at Frontier Park on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9:30am – 10:30am, with 4 participants.

Fun Fridays at Frontier Fun Fridays at Frontier, offering theme-based activities and games to residents at no charge, will continue each Friday through July.
