Herr Meichle, what is important for the fish processing sector?
RM: Quality and therefore the freshness of the products is thebottom line – together with fast processing and delivery. Fishand seafood are highly sensitive foods; constant checks on therefrigeration temperature in particular, and careful handling ofthe fresh products are an important requisite for the first-classproducts which leave our factory every day.
What role does Testo’s measurement engineering play?
RM: A central role. When we started out, I believed in thestrength of experience. Nowadays the market expects muchmore from us; we have to account for uninterrupted coolingchains, we are required to carry out regular documentedchecks when processing. Thanks to Testo’s products we areable to carry out our checks quickly and efficiently. An addition-al benefit of Testo’s instruments is that we can consistently opti-mise our quality management. Optionally the transmitters of the hygrotest 650 series are available
with a precision of ±1 %RH. The very robust, easy-to-clean metal
housing optimally protects the transmitter from environmental
influences. The length of the cables and probes can be adapted to
suit customer requirements. Probes and sensors are heat resistant up
to temperatures of +180 °C. Various humidity variables such as dew
point, absolute humidity, relative humidity or psychrometer humidity
temperature can be calculated and displayed with the help of the
integrated Mollier diagram.

testo 6340: Differential pressure transmitter
In filling processes, positivepressures must prevent the inflowfrom contaminated surroundingareas.
Zero point stability plays aparticularly important role atlowest pressures (10 Pa or 50 Pameasurement range).While conventional ∆Ptransmitters require frequent
recalibration, the testo6341/6343 is equipped withautomatic zero point adjustment.The solenoid valves vent bothsides of the pressuremeasurement cell in an hourlycycle (or every 20 minutes whenstarted up). Consequently, themicroprocessor automaticallycorrects the zero signal – higheststability and up to 200 timesoverload resistance result!
