‘Mollie Hughes | Everest’ provides you with an incredible opportunity to have your brand associated with a truly inspirational and record-breaking endeavor. Having reached the highest point on Earth at the age of just 21, Mollie will return to Everest in Spring 2017 in a bid to become the Youngest British Person to climb the mountain from both the North and South Routes. Not only will this be an amazing achievement in British and women’s mountaineering, but at the age of just 26, Mollie will also become the first English Woman to summit from both sides of Everest – including the notorious North Route of the mountain.

We are looking for your business to be one of ten organisations that pledges to commit just £5,000 towards the costs of Mollie’s extraordinary climb. Not only will you be playing an essential role in a truly remarkable British record attempt, but you will also benefit from some incredible publicity opportunities, the use of exclusive video content and stunning imagery and the chance to engage staff, clients and stakeholders with an exciting talk from Mollie about her experience of climbing the world’s tallest mountain.

The total costs being sought for the climb is £50,000 and if you would like to pledge more than £5,000 we can develop a bespoke sponsorship package that best suit your needs as a key sponsor and ensure maximum return on investment.

From here she will travel overland through Tibet and finally reach Mount Everest basecamp, where the challenge will really begin.

Over the course of six weeks Mollie will acclimatise on the mountain, this involves travelling to high camps and back down to basecamp again. This process is essential to get her body used to the altitude and reduced levels of oxygen on the mountain.

When the weather is stable enough and Mollie is acclimatised she will make her summit attempt, leaving basecamp and spending up to seven days on the mountain fighting cold, altitude and physical and mental exhaustion to achieve her goal of standing at 8,848m on the top of the world.

Climbing Mount Everest from the North will follow the same route that George Mallory and Sandy Irvine attempted before disappearing close to the summit in 1924.

Summiting Everest from the North will present Mollie with many different challenges to the South Route. The North Route is significantly colder and windier than the South side of the mountain and when climbing from the North Mollie will have to spend much more time in the oxygen-less world above 8,000m, the ‘death zone’ is so high, life cannot survive for long.

Climbing Everest has always been a subject that captivates the imagination and has tremendous public appeal. This was clearly demonstrated on Mollie’s 2012 Everest expedition, which attracted widespread international coverage; articles were published in The Telegraph, The Sun, The Guardian, The Daily Mail and The Scotsman along with the Times of India, The Himalayan Voice and Nepal News.

Mollie also appeared in many popular magazines; such as Trek and Mountain magazine, Adventure travel magazine, Outside Times and The BMC’s Summit magazine as well as classics such as Stylist magazine and Country Life where Mollie was March 2012 girl of the Frontis page.

Mollie also has a large social media following where she shares expedition news, training knowledge, public speaking engagements, relevant news articles and the kit she uses in the mountains.

Funding Everest 2017 Sponsoring this project provides a fantastic opportunity to benefit from the associated publicity around Mollie’s climb, while presenting a unique chance to engage staff, clients and stakeholders in the process.

We need to secure a total of £50,000 to turn this record-breaking expedition into reality and have produced two main sponsorship packages for your consideration below:

We want to ensure that you secure maximum return for your investment and for £5,000 you will receive:

•Exclusive video content and imagery from Mollie’s climb that can be used in your own publications and reports; website and other marketing materials.

•A website presence where your company logo and link will be placed on Mollie’s website to showcase your key role in supporting the expedition for a period of 12 months from when Mollie returns to the UK.

•A talk from Mollie at your office for staff, clients or stakeholders that provides an exciting overview of her experience on Everest.

Bespoke Sponsorship In addition to the £5,000 Sponsorship Package we are keen to discuss bespoke sponsorship opportunities with you.

With the help of Mollie’s Brand Managers, Solusvreba, specialists in working with marketing departments to deliver targeted ROI, which supports company’s existing marketing and PR strategy’s.

This package would be tailored to your specific requirements and could include:
