Dear Colleagues and Friends ;

In today's day and age, infertility is on a steep rise due to various factors. We see more and more patients of infertility in our day to day practice. The practical aspects of dealing with various situations and modern updates about them will go a long way in helping you to treat such patients.

The crux of treating infertility is investigating the patient correctly. Investigations should be individualized and pertinent. The various tips and tricks of semen processing will be of great value while doing an IUI in your own setup. Ovulation induction is one of the basics of infertility treatment. Practical and clear insights about nuances of ovulation induction will make it easy for you to monitor your patients.

Newer updates will be given about various conditions like PCOS, Endometriosis etc. which are commonly seen in our practice. There will be a detailed discussion about lesser known facts in infertility like medico-legal aspects. Lifestyle management can work wonders if emphasized and practised correctly. We have a Pre Congress Workshop devoted to various endoscopic surgeries which will help in enhancing fertility.

The MOGS Dossibai J. R. Dadabhoy Silver Jubilee Oration will be delivered by Prof. Laurel Stadtmauer, M. D., Ph. D. from Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School on “Update on PCOS & Fertility Treatment “. The Oration is open to all MOGS members.

The one time registration for MOGS Members is Rs. 11,500/- inclusive of service tax & can be availed by all MOGS members which entitles them to attend all the conferences except the Monsoon Dhamaka, International Conference and the precongress workshops .

Biography : Dr. Stadtmauer joined the Jones Institute for Reproductive

Medicine as faculty in April of 2001 and is an active member of the IVF

group as well as the medical director of the program for SART. She is

director of the female reproductive endocrinology and infertility course

for the Distance On-line Masters in Clinical Embryology and Andrology.

She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive

endocrinology and infertility. She also is certified in advanced

laparoscopic hysteroscopy and robotic surgery.

Dr. Stadtmauer is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and

Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive

Medicine where she has Chaired the postgraduate courses in Ultrasound

in Reproductive Medicine for the last 3 years, Society for Assisted

Reproductive Technology, Society of Reproductive Endocrinology,

American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the South

Atlantic Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.

She is also the Course Director for the 15 week course in Reproductive

Endocrinology and Infertility for the first distance (on-line) Masters in

Clinical Endocrinology and Andrology Program at EVMS. She is the

primary or contributing author of more than 75 articles published in

major peer-reviewed journals, such as Fertility and Sterility, and have

written more than 10 chapters in books.

She is currently an Editor of “Ultrasound in Reproductive Medicine and

ART” which will be published in the near future. She also has been an

Investigator in more than 15 funded research and training grants. Her

primary interests are in vitro fertilization, 3-D ultrasound, polycystic

ovarian disease ( PCOS ), endometriosis, and uterine fibroids and has

lectured at meetings all over the world in these areas.
