How to read your feedback

Subjects will be broken down into assessment areas, presented in a traffic light system.

Red indicates an area that needs improvement. A subject area is red, if more than two questions have been answered

incorrectly.

Yellow indicates an area that could need a little more practise. A subject area is yellow if just one or two questions have

been answered incorrectly. This could be a mistake with reading the question or a gap in knowledge.

Green indicates that an area whereby the student has sound knowledge and has answered all questions correctly.

An detailed report of each subject area will be provided by your marker.

understanding of the text. He is able to recall details and events in the text to answer questions.

Further support: To improve STUDENT score, he needs to be immersed in wide range of vocabulary

and study the meaning of words. He also needs to read and discuss character’s feelings and

motivations, after reading.

Upper Key Stage 2.

Further Support: STUDENT needs to recap double consonants in spellings and the rules around long

and short vowel sounds. A revision session on the spellings of homophones would also help him to

gain more marks in spelling sections.

STUDENT has a real flair for Verbal Reasoning and word puzzles in general. His word building and

word coding is strong. He can identify words within words, when presented phonetically.

His main area for improvement is word meanings. STUDENT needs to widen his vocabulary and

explore new words and their meanings. A word a day or reading more difficult material will

encourage this. STUDENT score after 50 minutes was 65/78 (83%) – all questions answered after

the time allowed, were correct.

Despite the overall score, STUDENT showed strength in coding questions and questions that required

logic to complete the pair of patterns or codes that are formed using a particular rule. STUDENT can

identify a pattern rule, which is coded by a letter.

His main area for improvement is identifying patterns and having the ability to predict what will

happen next in a sequence – linear and as part of a grid. He also needs support with identifying how

shapes are similar, taking into consideration number of sides, rotation, reflection and shading.
