In the beginning…designer Justus Kolberg captured the apparent contrasts

between handcrafted and high tech…wood and metal…warmth and function

with his unique design for Verso.

The heart of the design is the simple, oval aluminum leg and the way it is

integrated into the top surface. Each leg is recessed into a routed corner of the

the top and positioned at an angle towards the center of the table. This

construction forms a clean connection with the chamfered edge shape creating

an exquisite design detail. The legs seem to change dimension and shape as

you travel around the table…an illusion of movement for visual interest.

As a simple table desk…Verso makes an aesthetic

statement of elegance and restraint. Freestanding or

connected desks offer a variety of shapes, and may be

specified with 3 types of modesty panels and connecting

elements. Extensions for these tops may be attached to

mobile containers, returns with return containers,

kneewell base cases, or bridges that span into the new

Workwall additions.

To expand the support of the workplace, Verso was redesigned to become a complete modular

casegood collection. Still based on the original clean and classic design, a Workwall along with

additional units were incorporated to offer extreme flexibility and function.

From top CEO private offices to freestanding open plan configurations…all are possible with

the new Verso Collection. The units shown have multiple height cases within the workwalls,

computer support, and conferencing tops for those impromptu meetings.

The internal structure of the overhead support unit, which is the heart of the

Verso Workwall design, creates a tubular backbone that offers BIFMA-tested

support for overhead units. It also acts as a connecting element for tack

panels, work surfaces, power/data strips, wire management troughs, and

modesty panels. There are three heights and five lengths of overhead support

units that may be specified.

Shorter units may be ordered for open work plans that offer finished back

panels, plexi-glass visual shields on overhead paper management storage,

and complete computer support. LCD arm supports are available for single

or double monitor use. Full adjustability is achieved through gas cylinder

swing arm. Units may be table mounted with grommet or attached to cases

or end panels.

Three materials for modesty panels are available — perforated aluminum in a matte silver powdercoate, a special woven

fabric stretched over an aluminum frame, or matching veneer panels. These visually different modesty panels allow the

designer to create individualized statements within each office setting.

All configurations of workwalls are available with

three choices of finished back panels — all veneer,

all fabric, or top portion in fabric and bottom in veneer.

Images at left show the three different types of back

on unit at right.

The back panels have the same

accessory rail as the interior tack

panel, which separates the top

panels from the bottom panels.

Ends and staggered height unit joints

are capped off with aluminum extrusions.

If a short overhead paper management unit is

specified, a plexi-glass visual screen may be

ordered to back this unit up above a finished

back panel. This option offers a light and airy

visual partition creating a different aesthetic

for open plan layouts.
