Continuing Medical Education Programs

Held in Grand Rapids, this MOA Autumn Convention is held in November providing an average of 16 AOA Category 1-A credits annually.

MOA Annual Autumn Scientific Convention

The largest osteopathic convention in the state of Michigan providing an average of 30 AOA Category 1-A credits annually.

This convention is held in May and has more than 1,000 D.O.s in attendance.

This award recognizes an outstanding osteopathic resident from Michigan who exemplifies:

• Commitment to the osteopathic philosophy and the profession;

and others, including but not limited to continuing education, teaching, research and publication; and

MOA CORE Grant

The MOA will award up to three Core Grant recipients each $1,000 in funding to support outstanding primary care and prevention initiatives.

These programs—whether an educational event series, research project or patient-centric campaign—illustrate outstanding commitment to the principal tenets of osteopathic medicine.

Core Grants were established by MOA’s Michigan Council of Osteopathic Promotion (MCOP) in 2007. Grant recipients are selected based on their project’s level of need, feasibility, impact and how well it embodies the osteopathic values of preventive health.
