This has been a tough year full of changes for everyone. We’ve been blessed by generous donors like you to be able to continue to work on capital projects like the Rochester Gym that will add a new environment for physical healing. We are also grateful for the expansion to the Duluth campus that will add beds and better living space. Breaking ground on the new women’s program building was an exciting event earlier this summer; you can read more about it on page 3.

As for programs, the Outpatient in-person program space was expanded, and Outpatient Telehealth was added as a much-needed service during these isolating times.

And finally, and most importantly, you have helped us bring the peace and calm of Jesus into the hearts of our clients across Minnesota.

M I N I S T R Y U P D AT E

As most of you know, we have spent the last months raising funds, working through blueprints and approving plans for our new women’s center.

On Thursday, July 16, we were able to have a small groundbreaking ceremony. Due to COVID-19 social distancing regulations, we were not able to have the large celebration we would have wanted, but don’t worry, we have something planned for the future when we can all be together again.

We’ve seen God’s hand in so many places while planning for this remarkable space for women to feel safe and heal. One evening while there were protests and riots taking place

in our backyard, a group came to burn down buildings in our vicinity. Both the Stevens campus and the new women’s center in South Minneapolis were spared, and the women’s center was actually saved by nearby protestors. When destructive groups came to break windows and start fires, a larger group surrounded the front of the building and protected the living space we have been preparing for the women and families yet to come.

I’m in my 9th month of TCLI (Teen Challenge Leadership Institute) and my relationship with Jesus keeps growing. I also work at Premier Biotech and I just completed the Peer Recovery Support Specialist training. I am the happiest I’ve been in years.

We now offer telehealth treatment servicesMn Adult & Teen Challenge locations are now offering treatment and support services to any Minnesota resident via a secure virtual environment.

We support victims of sexual exploitationWe recently partnered with Breaking Free to offer a survivor-led curriculum to victims of sexual trauma. This partnership will help us better serve the women in our programs by helping them continue to feel safe and supported through their recovery journey. All clients receive continuing care and employment help.
