O

ur 2016 fiscal year was filled with

God’s provision throughout many

ministry endeavors. Your incredible

support continued to help fuel our fight against

the drug epidemic! And your commitment to the

Teen Challenge Training Center allowed us to

remain a leader in the field of faith-based

addiction treatment. We continued to face many

challenges with the opioid epidemic in our local

communities, however, in the face of this

struggle we remain hopeful and humbled to have

an opportunity to fight this epidemic with you!

Our vision of “Bringing Wholeness to the

Hopeless” has brought focus to our organization

and allowed us to expand our services within our

local communities. In 2016 we added the word

“Adult” to our name. Our program in

Rehrersburg, PA. is now known as PA Adult &

Teen Challenge and this theme has spanned

across our corporation. We have developed and

implemented a state-licensed, short-term

program in order to provide valuable services to

individuals lost in addiction and we have seen a

high percentage of these individuals transfer into

our long-term program. We have also developed

and received state-licensing to open a

detoxification program at our Rehrersburg

campus, which is set to begin operation in 2017.

These programs will undoubtedly give us

opportunities to bring wholeness to the hopeless

and impact many more lives caught in the grip of

addiction.

We believe that addiction is not only an

individual issue, it is a family affliction. Our

Student and Family Enrichment (SAFE) program

provided training to an average of 135 family

members once a month for the entire year. These

training sessions have equipped families with

knowledge and understanding of addiction as

well as effective recovery solutions.

The past year has been filled with the Lord’s

faithful provision and creative wisdom as we

have sought additional ways to impact the current

drug epidemic. None of this would have been

accomplished without the longtime partnerships

and investments of our many supporters! Thank

you for allowing us to continue to be a leader in

the field of faith-based addiction treatment!

Many blessings in 2017!

Honoring Our New York Centers Buffalo & Syracuse Adult & Teen Challenge

After many months of prayerful consideration and counsel with Don Wilkerson, the president of New York Teen Challenge, the Long Island Teen Challenge team and TCTC

have made a decision that includes the centers located in Buffalo and Syracuse. As of January 31 2017, we are excited to announce that Long Island Teen Challenge will take

ownership of the centers located in Buffalo and Syracuse to continue their focus on fighting

the drug epidemic in the State of New York. This is a great opportunity for Long Island

Teen Challenge to continue expanding its services in the State of New York, while TCTC

continues to focus on expanding services in the states of Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT Amber Didden, Director

2016 was an exciting year for the team in our

Admissions Office. We were blessed with a

new, renovated space that facilitates the

expedient and organized placements of

individuals in each of our program levels.

This office provides a central location at our

center in Rehrersburg where help is easily

accessible for people in need. Other

improvements included the creation and

implementation of a computer tracking

system as well as a centralized toll-free

phone number. Changes to the application

process for our Long-Term program

applicants cut down on the placement time

by making a way to complete physicals after

placement rather than before. All of these

additions served to facilitate the placement of

more than 320 individuals in our programs,

which exceeds our all-time placement record

by almost 100 placements. Thank you for

your prayers for men and women seeking

help for their addictions. Please continue to

pray for the Admissions Team as we head

into 2017.

PA ADULT & TEEN CHALLENGE Rev. Joel Jakubowski, Director

In 2016, PA Adult and Teen Challenge

opened a state-licensed short-term program

in order to reach those looking for a more

traditional treatment program or who are not

ready to commit to the long-term faith-based

program. Since opening the short-term

program (STP), 70% of those who have

completed the full program duration have

transferred to the traditional long-term

program---in pursuit of Christ (Luke 5).We

have added to our team a medical doctor and

a team of highly qualified nurses to meet the

growing need here at PA Adult & Teen

Challenge.

We look forward to expanding the net further

by opening a Detoxification program. This

program is projected to open in March of

2017 and will help meet the tremendous need

for detox services in the local and

surrounding areas. We are excited to see how

God continues to use these programs to

counteract the otherwise lethal effects of this

current opiate epidemic---and to see lives

whole lives and families changed for the

Lord.

ADULT & TEEN CHALLNGE OF

WESTERN PA Rev. Dave Louis, Director

“When Jesus had finished speaking, he said

to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let

down the nets for a catch." Luke 5:4 This has

been our theme verse for 2016 here at WPA

and will be as we launch into 2017. We

completed the remodeling of 10 of our rooms

to prepare for our new short-term program.

We also continued to share our stories in

churches, prisons and schools. We accepted

133 men into our induction center during the

year 2016. God continues to bless us with a

staff that is committed and has a heart for the

men that are sent to us. Please continue to

hold us up in prayer as we move forward in

2017 with the vision that God has given us.
