Many families and relatives of approximately 200 foreign degree recipients came to the United States to witness the awarding of degrees at the commencement exercises of the scientific and technological Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The foreign students were among approximately 1, 260 students receiving graduate and undergraduate degrees. Dr. Julius A. Stratton, President of M.I. T., gave the commencement address and personally presented the diplomas to each degree recipient. Dr. James R. Killian, Jr., Chairman of the M. I. T. Corporation, presided over the ceremonies. Note to Editor: Students are listed alphabetically by country

Students from 48 foreign countries received degrees today (June 11) from the

Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Many families and relatives of approximately 200

foreign degree recipients came to the United States to witness the awarding of degrees

at the commencement exercises of the scientific and technological Institute in Cambridge,

Massachusetts.

The foreign students were among approximately 1, 260 students receiving graduate

and undergraduate degrees. Dr. Julius A. Stratton, President of M.I. T., gave the

commencement address and personally presented the diplomas to each degree recipient.
