TinaMadsenhas“of icially”workedfortheGraniteSchoolDistrictfor8yearsnow.ShewasoriginallyhiredatBennionElementaryasateacher’saide(andlatertransitionedtoareadingtutor)‐aftervolunteeringatBennionsomuch,theprincipalofferedherajob.WhileatBennion,thereadingspecialistmentionedthatValleyJr.HighwasinneedofaComprehensiveGuidanceAssistant.Tinaappliedforandgotthejob.SheworkedatValleyJr.Highforfouryears.Whilethere,shemadesomelifelongfriendsandlovedeveryminuteofit.ThispastJune,shebecamethePrincipal’sSecretaryatPioneerElementary.Hernewpositionischallengingbut,shehasagreatattitudeandiseagertolearnandmasterwhatittakestohelpmakePioneerElementarythebestschoolinthedistrict!Tinahasbeenmarriedtoherbestfriendfor23yearsandhas3amazingchildren;Sami22,Cassie15andTommy11.Herchildrenareherheartandsoul.Togethertheyenjoytravelingandoutdooractivitiessuchascamping, ishing,hunting,ridingmotorcycles,andgoingtothebeach.

RobynParryiscompletingherthirdyearatPioneerElementaryschoolastheLunchSecretary.BeforethatsheworkedatElkRunElementaryinthekitchenasacafehelper.ShesaysthatshehasreallyenjoyedworkingatPioneerandcouldn'timagineworkingatanyotherschool.Robynalwayslooksforwardtocomingtoworktoassociatewiththekidsandtheawesomeladiesthatsheworkswithintheof ice.Shehastwoveryhandsomelittleboyswhoareherwholeworld.Herhobbiesarereading,crossstitching,spendingtimewithhersons,runninganddoinganythingactive.
DianeStock ish‐AttendanceSecretaryDianeStock ishwasbornandraisedinMidvaleandhasthreebrothersandtwosisters.Sheiscompletingher ifthyearworkingforthedistrictandhasbeenatPioneerall iveyears.Shestartedasarecessaidethenwasofferedtheattendancetrackerposition.Shewasexcitedandnervoustodoanewjob.Thefollowingschoolyear,shehadtheopportunitytoworkinthemediacenterparttimeandlovedit.Thisyear,shehasworkedintheof iceonly.Shemissesthemediacenterbutfeltshewasnotdoingherbestateitherjob.DianehasreallyenjoyedhertimeatPioneerandlovesworkingwithandseeingthestudents.Hergoalistolearnasmanyoftheirnamesaspossible.Shesaysthatifshecouldgivethemanythingitistoknowtheirnamesandmakethemfeelliketheyareimportanttoher.Shehashadmanyjobsinher30+yearsasanadult,butworkingforPioneerhasbeenthebestofallofthem!!Sheandherhusband,Steve,haveonegrowndaughter,Whitney,twodogs,GeorgieandAnnie,andtwogranddogs,BuddyandCharlie.Herhobbiesincludeknitting,baking,watchinghockeygames,doingcrosswordpuzzlesandattendingReALsoccergameswithherfamily.

GraniteAssociationofEducationalOf iceProfessionalsheldtheirannualHolidayOpenHouseandServiceProjectonWednesdayandThursday,December9thand10th.Thethemewas“Santa’sWorkshop”andtheserviceprojectwashelpingtheGraniteEducationFoundation illSantaSacksforstudentsinourdistrict.Inreturn,theGEFdonatedasmallholidaygifttoeachGAEOPmember.
AllGraniteDistrictsecretarieswereinvitedtovisitSanta’sWorkshopaftertheyattendedfunandinformativeworkshops.Theyweretreatedtoahotchocolateandciderbaranddeliciouscookies.Thegenerosityofourwonderfulemployeeswasonfulldisplayasthedonationtablewasover lowing.

Organizeyourdocuments‐Especiallywheninahurry,it'scommontogive ilesnamesthataren'trecognizable.Similarly,peopleoftenstashdocumentsinuntitledfoldersorotheroutofthewayplacesthatarehardtotrackdown.Thesehabitscanmakeitdif icultto ind ileswhenyouneedthemagain.Instead,implementalogicalnamingandarchivingsystemthatworksforyou.De‐clutteryourvirtualworkspacebyplacingdesktop ilesinappropriatefolders.
