INTRODUCTION

• This case study is based on dirt bike as part of

M.I.S (understanding business information

system)

• Dirt Bike U.S.A

– Was found in 1993 by two experience dirt bike

riders Carl Schmidt & Steven McFadden, they also

have an engineering background.



CULTURE OF D.B To produce customised bike for off-road recreational rides and racing in

competitions such as Barstow to Las Vegas

Create customised dirt bike handler

Using different part from around the world to create a high standard D.B

Creating a together workforce which will encourage high productivity.

• Dirt Bikes are not sold directly to retail customers but through

distributors

• But Sell parts to customer who are 50miles away from authorised

dealers

• There are 40 network of distributors in the United States

• Small number of distributors are located outside the states such as:

–China

– Australia

– Canada

– Germany

– Italy

– United Kingdom e.t.c

south, mid-west, west coast and western of United state)

that there has to be communicate

On time processing system requires direct link to suppliers

and distributors

Part orders from different aspect of the world
