The First Session

The Fourth Annual Conference of the In-ternational Holiness Churches of the Cáro-lina District conveied at Randleman, N. C., at 10 A. M. Nov. 24, 1914.

The First Session was opened by singing No. 28 in "Praise and Invitation," after which Rev. C. A. Ludwick led in prayer. The prayer was followed by singitig, "On the Way."

The Opening Address was given by the State Superintendent, Rev. M. A. Baldwin.

The minutes of the Third Annual Confer-ence of the Apostolic Holiness Union and Churches were read in a condensed form and adopted.

The first three rows of seats were set apart for the exclusive use of the preachers and delegates.

The duties and privileges of the mem-bers of the Conference were set forth by the State Superintendent.

It was moved and carried that the mm-isters and delegates be enrolled on the Con-ference roll at once.

It was moved and carried that Rev. W. R. Cox assist the secretary in making the en-rollineñ.t.

eighteen ministers and twenty Church and Sunday-school delegates had enrolled.

The State Superintendent next called the Conference to the reading of the Church re-ports and Sunday-school reports. Twenty churches were called and ten were reported.

It was moved and carried to adjourn the Conference until 2 P. M.

Second Session The Second Session convened at 2 P. M.,

Nov. 24, 1914, by singing No. 48, in "Praise and Invitation," after which Rev. Geo. B. Kuip led the opening prayer. The minutea of the last session were read and approved and the roll was called and nineteen minis-ters and twenty-three d€legates answered to their names.

The Conference next turned to the busi-ness of church reports and thirty-five church-es were called and twenty-three made' a re-port.

The chairman appointed the following Committees:

Examining Committee: Rev. W. R. Cox, Rev. Geo. ,B. Kulp, and Rev. M. 'A. Baldwin.

Nominating Committee: Rev. C. A. Lud.-wick, Rev. S. S. Nelson and Rev. S. M. Stike-leather.

Committee on Resolutions: Rev. 0. L. Ruth, Rev. P. R. Thompson, Rev. S. M. Stike-leather, Rev. W. R. Cox and Rev. S. S. Nelson.

The State Superintendent next called for

ministerial reports and eight reports were given.

It was moved and carried that the Con-ference adjourn until 9 A. M. on Nov. 25.

Third Session

The Third Session was called to order by the State Superintendent at 10 A. M., Nov. 25, 1914. No. 24 in "Praise and Invitation" was used as an opening hymn, after which Rev. G. H. Butner led the opening prayer. The minutes of the last session were read and approved and the roll was called and twenty-three ministers .and nineteen delegates were present. The' question of election of officers was tsken up and a motion made that the. election of officers follow immediately after the Con 2erence. disposed of the resolutions which the Resolution Committee held which were ready for presentation. After discuss-. ion the motion was carried

The Conference next turned to the reports of the ministe's. Three reports were read.

It was moved and carried that the Con-fere'ce turn to the report of the Committee on Resolutions and consider the resolutions.

The State Superintendent appointed Rev'. P. R. Thompson to take the place of the Secretary on the Nominating Committ,ee.

The chairman of the Resolution Commit-.. tee read the following report:

First. Resolved, That each pastor shall..

preach önthe subject of tithing one or more times during the year and urge all his people to give the tenth and that he shall see that a public offering be taken each Sunday when there is preaching, which Offering shall be used for the incidental expenses of the church, also that a business meeting shall be held each month.

Second. Resolved, That one day of the next Conference be set apart in the interest of the Sunday-school work among the Inter-national Holiness Churches in the Carolina District for the stimulation and promotion of Sunday-school work along straight holi-ness lines.

Third. Resolved, That each pastor sees that each of his churches adopts some plan of raising missionary money for the hDme and foreign fields and for arousing interest among his members on the subject of mis-sions, that a correct record be kept Qf the same by the church secretary and the money be sent either direct, or to the State Mis-sionary Board, that the said church and Mis-sionary Board may be able to report cor-rectly.

Fourth. Resolved, That the next Confer- ence hall not be held in connection with a revival meeting.

Fifth. Resolved, That ten per cent. of each. pastor's offering and also of our evan-gelists working in the Carolina District be applied to the State Superintendent.

Fourth Session

The FourthSession was opened by sing- ing No. 29 in "Praise and Invitation," after which Rev. 0. 'L. Ruth led in prayer. The minutes of the last session were read and approved. The roll was 'called and twenty ministers and twenty-three delegates were present. Church reports were again called for and four churches and two Sunday-U schools not included in these church, reports were given. Mrs. W. C. Kirkman made, .her report at this time.

The report of the Treasurer of the State Missionary Board was read and accepted.

The report of the State Treasurer for this district was read by, the Secretary and ac-cepted if found correct by an Auditing Com-mittee.

Rev. W. R. Cox, M.' A. Baldwin nd J. L. Crouse were appointed to act as Auditing Committee for the ensuing Conference year.

The Fifth Session was called' to order by the State Superintendent at 9 A. M., Nov. .25k 19.14, and opened by singing No. 48 in "Praise and Invitation," ater which Rev. ,J. .. Nanc,e lead in prayer. The minutes of the last' meeting were read aad approved. The roll was called and eighteen ministers. and. n&neteen delegates wer present. took charge of the serviëe at the close of the singing and gave an interesting and profit-able talk to the preachers and delegates

After the address No. 49 was sung and a free-will offering taken for Bro. Kuip, which amounted to'. $24.62 in cash and 50 cents in jpledges. A prayer of thanks was given by the. State Superintendent.

Moved and carried that a free-will offer-ing be taken, up by the pastors in each of, 'their churches in the near future for helping :in the completion of the Albemarle Church.

The resolutions of the• Committee on the 'Church 'Extension Loan Fund, was read as follows:

Your Committee to whom you have re-ferred 'the . subject " of a Church Extension, hereby make the following report. We here-by, do recommend:

First. That we have a Church Extension Fund;. ' , . /

Second. That this fund shall consist of moneys contributed by each church on th& first Sunday in March of each year.

Seventh Session

The Seventh Session was called to order by' the State Superintendent at 9 A. M., Nov. 27, 1914,' an'd opened by' singing No. 25 in "Praise and Invitation," after which Rev. J. E. Shaw led in prayer. The roll was' call-.ed and nineteen ministers and ' nine dele-gates were present. '

Rev. W. ,R. Cox gave an inter esting account of the successful outcome of the Thanksgiving dinner held at the Apostolic Holiness University on Thanksgiving Day.

Five rescue services were held in response to the resolutions of last Conference. These were held at thgh Point, Gold Eill, St. Paul, Beulah and Zion, Davidson Go., N. C; and' Sawyersville.' '' '

The president of the Apostolic Holiness University states in answer to a preceding question that the property of the Apostohe Holiness University is deeded1 to trustees who are the same as those of the property of
