KEY FEATURES

• Higher resistance to saline applications

• Flanged pump bowls rather than strapped pump bowls

• Precision cast balanced impellers that maintain even impeller wear over the life of the pump meaning lower efficiency loss

• No spot welding during construction eliminating weak points that become susceptible to corrosion

SAER Pumps offer a world-class range of submersible Bore Pumps and water filled submersible motors that are ideal for many water supply and dewatering applications in the mining, oil & gas and industrial industries.

SAER Submersible Pumps feature a precision cast 316 S stainless steel construction, offering many benefits over a standard pressed construction pump. These benefits include higher resistance to saline applications, higher pump efficacy using SAER’s unique precision cast and balanced impellers and overall longer pump life in harsh Australian conditions.

Splined duplex pump shafts are included as standard with SAER Submersible Pumps and offer a higher resistance to saline applications, superior strength and greater efficiency. This eliminates challenges with traditional means of fixing impellers to the shaft using lock nuts that can slip, reducing pump productivity and damaging the pump shaft. SAER impellers offer increased life expectancy and greater performance with splined duplex shaft technology, eradicating the use of shaft lock nuts.

SAER water filled motors also feature PE+PA motor windings – allowing high temperature operations.

17 BORE RISING MAIN21 FLEXI RISER SYSTEMS

BORE RISING MAIN SYSTEMS

ALLIED PUMPS Rising Pipe is an innovative system made from high quality rigid PVC and has been created to connect submersible pumps to site water distribution systems. The particular extrusion process the pipe is subjected to, as well as its physicochemical structure, allows the pipe to have exceptional resistance against high internal pressure and tensile loads.

Rising Pipe also offers extremely high impact strength. Laboratory and real life site tests have proved the product to be suited to the toughest applications with no pipes showing any signs of damage or stress during handling, installation and removal of pumps.

Allied Pumps’ Rising Pipe system has also been designed with ease of installation and transport in mind. The acme threads (male + male thread) at each pipe ends are supplied with a prearranged coupling. The inner part of the pipe coupling is equipped with two gaskets, which guarantee 100% sealing while operating at high pressures. The Rising Pipe coupling system also incorporates a locking ring which acts as a mechanical barrier to accidental loosening of the couplings due to vibrations or anomalous torsional stresses of the column. Connection of the pump to the rising main is via a heavy duty stainless steel coupling.

Rising Pipes have been designed to have totally smooth walls without any narrowing and/or corrosion. The design is also such that the pipe walls cannot be effected by subsurface stray current. Hydrodynamic tests that the pipes have undergone show exceptional hydraulic results with a hydraulic coefficient (k = 0.01), which ensures greater efficiency, lower pumping costs as well as a reduced water hammer effect due to a slower flow velocity (1/3 compared to metal piping).

Rising Pipes are also certified and suitable for transporting potable water and food liquids.

SEWAGE & GREY WATER TREATMENT

34 ENVIROPAC™ SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT35 APAC™ ENHANCED OUTPUT QUALITY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

ALLIED PUMPS MINING - SEWAGE & GREY WATER TREATMENT

ENVIROPAC™ SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

The Enviropac™ wastewater treatment system, ideal for decentralised sewage schemes, significantly reduces BOD, TSS and Total Nitrogen to provide treated wastewater to better than Class ‘B’ standards. As the system is modular, it can be expanded to suit growing developments and infrastructure economically.

Enviropac™ leads the way, providing complete advanced treatment systems utilising fixed film media bio-modules to treat sewage and wastewater for cost-effective treatment and re-use purposes. The system can be adapted to virtually any water dispersal demand from 5000 litres per day up to 500 000 litres per day.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Treatment using open cell foam is unique in that it is a highly absorbent and porous media and has a large surface area, which allows effluent and air to flow freely through it. At the same time these features prevent the foam becoming clogged over extended periods of time and allow loading rates of up to 10 times that of soil, sand and peat filters. This foam technology negates the need for costly blowers and pumps - providing massive savings in operational and maintenance costs. Power consumption can be as low as 1/10th of conventional systems.

KEY FEATURES

• Significantly reduced power usage

• Configuration flexibility

• Shock loading ability

• Variable load capability

• Resilient to loss of power

• High quality effluent output

• Low maintenance

• Treatment capabilities

• Compliant

ALLIED PUMPS MINING - SEWAGE & GREY WATER TREATMENT

Utilising Cleartec’s biological treatment expertise with advanced submerged membrane technology, Apac™ combines the process elements of secondary, tertiary and advanced wastewater treatment in a single package.

The membrane separation process eliminates the conventional sedimentation tank and allows high volumetric loading resulting in a much smaller footprint. Apac™ can produce high quality effluent with high BOD5 removal (about 98%), complete nitrification and partial denitrification. It also achieves almost complete TSS removal.

Apac™ Membrane BioReactor (MBR) consists of an activated sludge process which substitutes microfiltration membrane modules for the clarifier. The membranes serve as microbial barriers that can capture most of the biomass for recirculation inside the bioreactor. The MBR allows the activated sludge process to be optimised for solid-liquid separation and substrate utilisation since bioflocculation is no longer an issue.

KEY FEATURES

FEWER CHEMICAL CLEANING REQUIREMENTS AND COARSE SCREEN PRE-TREATMENTThe plate-and-frame configuration that employs flat sheet membranes is inherently stronger against fouling than the hollow fibre membrane configuration. Therefore, it results in fewer chemical cleaning requirements. Reduced module fouling from human hair and other obstructive substances allows coarse screening as a pre-treatment process.

ENERGY EFFICIENTFlat Sheet Membrane consumes less energy compared to hollow fibre membrane due to more effective scouring aeration and lower trans-membrane pressure.

The modular concept allows for phased construction of wastewater treatment plants and makes it adaptable to a wide range of sizes and flow rates.

• Residential communities • Hotels and resorts • Off-shore platforms• Commercial buildings • Military and aviation bases • Industrial zones • Mining sites
