JOB DESCRIPTION: PROGRAM DIRECTOR MINDPOP seeks a visionary, dynamic leader to join our experienced leadership team working to increase student access to the arts and creative learning, locally and nationally. The Program Director will work collaboratively with the Program Director, Education Director, Operations Director and the Executive Director to design, implement and assess MINDPOP programmatic efforts. MINDPOP is a non-profit organization that designs and builds creative learning systems nationwide. As the managing partner of Austin’s Creative Learning Initiative, MINDPOP is responsible for the design and coordination of this Collective Impact effort with lead partners Austin ISD, the City of Austin and implementation partners from more than 100+ arts organizations. MINDPOP offers consulting services nationally to communities interested in expanding creative learning system models in their own community. A successful candidate will have a proven record of impactful program leadership, must be a creative and tactical thinker, a problem solver, and an excellent communicator. They must be a skilled facilitator; have the capacity to forge strong relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders; experience managing budgets, and general operating systems with integrity. Regular travel, as well some evening and weekend commitments, are required. Area of leadership include: Providing backbone management leadership to Austin’s Creative Learning Initiative Consulting with communities across the country to design and implement creative learning systems Increasing the capacity of educators through the design and implementation of professional development, educational resources and additional support services Increasing the capacity for teaching artists and arts organization leadership through a variety of program efforts Generate and share knowledge with the national field through live and taped presentations and written products Minimum qualifications: Comprehensive experience in the fields of arts education, collective impact, systems change, program development, including extensive work with arts organizations and school districts Knowledge of arts integration models and educational theory Strong leadership ability, including management, strategy and analysis Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility, high energy and positive disposition. Compensation: Salary range between $64,000 - $70,000 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits package included.
