The packets require one teacher reference page. The deadline for the application packets is March 31st. They must go to Debbie for signature at completion.
Teachers: If any of you are interested in having a Milwee
Dividend in your classroom Please provide me with the dates
and times you would like the dividend to help you out. And if
there are any specifics that the dividend would need to have.
Thank you in advance. Either e-mail me or call me in the
clinic.
Thank you
Mrs. Michaels
Please support Pennies for Patients!
We will be taking part in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Pennies for Patients program from Monday, February 6 through Friday, February 24th, 2017.
During this time, students will be able to contribute any change they have to support LLS's mission: to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Any and all contributions will be welcome.
Please see Lora Wentzel in Media Center with any questions.

Instructional Staff (Teachers, Instructional Coaches, Paraprofessionals, Counselors)
Beginning January 24th, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Florida 5Essentials Survey. This opportunity allows you to share your views on important elements of school effectiveness. The results from the survey will provide a rich picture of the inner workings of our school from an organizational perspective. Last year all SCPS schools participated in the 5 Essentials Survey. The feedback received from the surveys plays a key role in shaping school improvement initiatives. This survey identifies how school performance on five factors or “Essentials” can lead to important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains. Prior research has shown that schools strong on three or more of the 5 Essentials were 10 times more likely to improve student learning gains than schools weak on three or more of the Essentials. Those 5 Essentials are:
Effective Leaders
Collaborative Teachers
Involved Families
Supportive Environment
Ambitious Instruction Survey administration begins Tuesday, January 24th. On that day, participants will receive an email from [email protected] with a subject line of Invitation to take the 2017 Florida 5Essentials Teacher Survey. Please do not delete this email as it will contain a unique username and password to log-in to the survey and participate. All responses are completely confidential. No names or other unique identifiers are connected with individual responses or used in any report. If you do not receive this email, please check your Clutter file. If you are unable to find the email, please contact Dr. Wendy Cora – 407-746-3808. If you recall, last year 66% of Milwee’s teachers participated in the survey compared to a state average of 75% - this year we are looking for 100% participation! February 15th is Milwee’s deadline to complete the survey. For more information about the 5Essentials Survey visit http://uchicagoimpact.org/5essentials/
