WELCOME TO 3RD GRADE!

As you prepare for Grade 3, you must read the following two chapter books: “Freckle Juice” by Judy Bloom “Chocolate by Hershey” by Betty Burford

All students are required to write a book report using the outline enclosed for each of the two books. The report should be written by the children and submitted on the first day of school.

In addition, the students are required to have memorized the 0 through 5 multiplication and division tables. They will be tested on these upon their return. All students are to continue with Mathletics over the summer. Each student is required to achieve 2500 points. This will be counted as a test grade.

Enclosed you will also find a packet. This is designed to help the students review what they have learned during the school year and will reinforce their skills. The packet is due on the first day of school and will be reviewed during class.
