Create a Topology Diagram

Open a Microsoft® Visio® template

1. On the ribbon, click the File tab, and then click New.

2. Click Network, and then click Detailed Network Diagram.

• Connect shapes using AutoConnect.

Link with External Data1. On the ribbon, click the Data tab, and then click Link Data to Shapes.

2. Select data source (for example, Microsoft® Office Excel®, Microsoft® Office Access®, or another database).

3. Proceed through the wizard.

4. When you finish the steps in the wizard, the External Data window opens.

2. Select an object on page.

3. Select a Data Graphic from gallery to apply.

If required, edit the Data Graphic.

Insert a Hyperlink

1. On the ribbon, click the Insert tab, and then click Hyperlink.

2. Type or browse to enter the Address and Sub-Address.

3. In the Description box, type a description to show onthe shortcut menu.

You can assign multiple hyperlinks on a single shape.
