Assumed responsibility for Saia’s non-asset based brokerage and logistics business that in 4 months grew the business to set revenue and profit records. Consequently, changed business model and revised marketing approach while simultaneously recruiting strategic hires to fill key roles. Led Wal-Mart private fleet maintenance organization during years of 50% to 100% year-over-year growth . Created SOP process that subsequently became the strategic plan for growth integration methodology for all aspects of operation: construction, hiring, systems, training, vendor alliances and global sourcing needs. Prepared and executed a competitive business plan at Saia that rejuvenated aging fleet/terminals and executed culture changes within the maintenance organization that was not previously valued or respected within the rest of the company.
