growing to 20,000– Frequency - 5 minute peak headway initially,
capable of going to 2 minute– Speed – Airport to city in 20 minutes; Swords to

The Aim
The aim for RPA is to design and construct the works without materially impacting on the existing businesses
• Keeping Dublin Open for Business
• Ensuring that City centre remains an attractive destination for shoppers
How we keep Dublin Open for Business? • By maintaining pedestrian access to all premises• By maintaining access for servicing and deliveries• By maintaining access to all existing car parks• Getting the message across to the Public
All of this is achieved through • Careful planning and execution of the works
How we ensure the City centre remains an attractive destination?
• Noise and dust limits strictly controlled and monitored• High quality, well maintained attractive hoarding• Good lighting will be provided between the worksites
and the shops so that a safe environment is created• Good housekeeping, plant and equipment cleaned and
fully serviced, worksites kept tidy and dust free• By RPA and its contractor working closely with you the
business community throughout the construction period

• Most surface works adjacent to buildings will happen outside business hours
• Excavations covered over during business hours• Work continues below ground during the day and is
serviced from small hoarded areas(7.5m x 3.0m)• Footpaths widened into the roads by 3 to 5m improving
pedestrian flows during the day• Works are phased• All existing traffic movements maintained
