Long-term commitment in metalsThe first electromagnetic stirrer, EMS, from ABB was installed in the 1940s for use in an electric arc furnace in Sweden. Since then our knowledge and application of EMS have grown into something of which we are truly proud. Long life and minimum maintenanceOur stirrers are built to last. Some of our stirrers have been in operation over 30 years. Designed and placed without any direct contact with molten metals, they are easy to operate and program. Manual control of the stirrers can also be applied when needed.
