Collecting Bazaar Jewelry It will be Bazaar time before we know it. As you sort through your unworn jewelry this summer, please consider donating to the Messiah UMC Bazaar. There is a basket in the church office for your convenience. I will check it often. It takes much time to sort, sometimes clean, add new backs on some earrings, place on cards for selling, and price the jewels! Thanks so much for your past support. You are all so generous. The Child Enrichment Program Did you know that Messiah has a preschool? The Child Enrichment Program (CEP) has been in operation for over 30 years! Ages range from 17 months to 4 years old. Classes are small, so there is more time for one on one with the children. We offer music, art, gross motor play, field trips, monthly chapel time and much more. Summer Choir - Anyone Can Sing Calling all singers! Join us for a rehearsal on Thursday, August 17 at 7 pm in the sanctuary to prepare a song for worship on Sunday, August 20. No previous experience or music reading ability required. If you’ve been thinking about singing with the choir, here’s a great opportunity to see what it’s all about! Prayer Shawls Are you or someone you know going through a hard time in life and need to feel comfort? There are prayer shawls in the nurses' office that have already been prayed over and are available to provide a 'hug' to help you through this difficult time in life. Have you always wanted to learn to crochet or knit, just never made the time to learn? Come to the Prayer Shawl Ministry and we'll help you! We are meeting on the last Tuesday of the month, at 6:30 pm - 8 pm in the Parlor. All donations of machine washable and dryable yarn are appreciated to be left in the workroom labeled PSM. Help Feed the Homeless On Tuesday, August 22, we’ll make and deliver a chili lunch to the Lamb Center. You can help - just bring in a quart of your favorite chili by 9 am. We also need other items, and can always use people to help cook that morning.
