    RCCL is pleased to offer these workshops. In order to accommodate

    as much flexibility as possible, none of the workshops have predeter-

    mined dates and times. Please not that you can fill out a workshop

    request form (www.rochester.edu/college/rccl/leadership/

    skillsindex.html) and submit it no less than two weeks in advance. A

    RCCL staff member will try to coordinate a mutually agreed upon

    schedule. Each workshop has a minimum attendance to maximize

    the learning objectives as well as a typical length of time. All leader-

    ship programs are free and open to College undergraduates regard-less of class year and previous campus or community involvement.

    Students are recommended to encourage their organizations to seek

    these workshops as a means to help realize their success. If there

    are other presentations that you are looking for, please let us know!

    Purpose: To provide first-year and transfer students interpersonal

    support, guidance, sharing of wisdom, coaching, and role

    modeling by upper class students.

    MEN T OR /M ENTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Note: Mentors do not give out professional advice. The men-tors will provide proper resources and direction to the mentee,and assist the protg, as needed, with concerns and questions.

    Mentor and Mentee will meet during the first week of classes.

    Mentees will be provided with mentor contact information and

    introductions.

    Mentors will contact mentees at least twice a month for the first

    semester and once a month for the second semester either

    through email, phone or in person.

    Three to four interactions during the first semester and two to

    three interactions during the second semester need to be in per-

    son. Each month will have a different focus; the mentor should con-

    centrate on the topic and answer the mentees questions.

    Examples Class (Schedules and majors), finals, extra- curricular activities, summer plans, internships, leadershipopportunities, housing, etc.
