Membership statistics
Definition of an ARIN MemberChange adopted by the Board of Trustees and announced 12/28/09
• Redefined General Membership to require a valid ARIN Registration Services Agreement (RSA) or Legacy RSA for numbering resources.
• General members are comprised of entities with direct allocations of IP address space from ARIN, either IPv4 or IPv6 resources. These entities are automatically granted membership status when they receive their initial address block. Additionally, any entity that has a signed Registration Services Agreement (RSA) or Legacy RSA with ARIN and holds a number resource from ARIN may choose to pay a fee to become an ARIN member. (meaning end-users, ASN holders, and legacy RSA signatories)
• Tightened membership, and thus voting rights, to include only individuals or organizations that hold a signed agreement with ARIN.
Election Change• Adopted by the Board of Trustees and
announced 12/28/09• Established a voter registration eligibility
deadline• General Member organizations must be on
record with ARIN by 1 January to be eligible to vote in elections for that year
• All new ARIN Members who join after 1 January will become eligible to vote in the next calendar year

• Who: Individuals or organizations wanting to show support for the community-driven model of Internet number resource policy development and ARIN's role as a Regional Internet Registry (RIR)
• How: Instructions at www.arin.net under Participate. $500 USD annual fee associated with this nonvoting affiliation.
• Benefits:- Meeting registration fees waived for two individuals at each Public Policy and Members Meeting- May list name, company logo, and link to their organization’s website on the ARIN website- May display the ARIN Advocate logo on their website.
