World Championships in 1999…state champion in the long jump as a freshman and sophomore…finished second as a senior with a leap of 18-0…set state long jump record with a mark of 19-1 1/2 as a freshman…set a Junior Olympic National age-group record at 20-2 1/2…finished second in 300-meter hurdles as a freshman and second in the 400-meter hurdles as a sophomore…was also a member of the 4x400 relay that won a state championship during her sophomore year and finished third during senior year.

AT JAMES LOGAN HIGH SCHOOL2003 graduate of James Logan High School in Union City, Calif.…three-time all-league selection in basketball and led her high school team to a pair of league championships during her junior and senior seasons…two-year team captain…two-time MVP at the West Coast Jamboree in Pittsburg, Calif., in 2000 and 2001…played for AAU coach Erin Cross…also a sprints star in high school…four-year varsity runner…recorded personal bests of 11.8 in the 100-meters, 24.0 in the 200-meters, and 54.1 in the 400-meters…four-time all-league selection and was a North Coast Section (NCS) champion 12 times in four seasons…a two-time state competitor, helped lead team to a second-place state finish in 2002…member of the nation’s 10th-ranked prep 4x400-meter relay team in 2003.
