Meet Pastor Brad Martin and family We are so looking forward to coming to Liberty Chapel and getting to know you all. I love Jesus, and I’m blessed that he has called me to be a pastor–to be your pastor. Sherry and I met at Edgerton High School and were married in 1975. We have five children–four of them grown and they are (in order of appearance): Becky lives in the Minford area in southern Ohio. Her guy is Craig and her kitty is Lucy. She is currently in the throes of moving to a different house because she wants to be like her mom and dad. Jim lives in Hilliard (Columbus). He is engaged to Courtney, and they are planning a July 2015 wedding. Courtney has a four-year-old son, Jordan, who calls us Mamaw and Papa Martin, and we love this grand parenting experience. Jim works in Columbus at CAS and puts to use both his chemistry degree and his knowledge of computers. Pete lives in the Denver area (Northglenn) and has our only granddog, Rowdy the Rhodesian Ridgeback. Pete is a microbiologist and travels the U.S. teaching proper use of lab equipment to keep our food supply safe. He loves traveling and meeting new people. Once in a while he even makes it to Ohio just to visit family. Andy also lives in the Denver area (Englewood) and is a computer programmer. In May 2014, he married Kelsie bringing a second daughter into our family. They recently became the proud parents, er owners, of several tropical fish. None of whom we have met in person yet. Leah is seventeen months old. She came to live with us when she was six weeks old. It was not safe for her to stay in her biological parents’ home. Although it was a big adjustment to go from empty nest to new parents, Leah has brought so much joy into our lives we couldn’t imagine it any differently. A graduate of Taylor University (B.A.), I majored in Biblical Literature. I attended United Theological Seminary and graduated from Methodist Theological School (M.Div.). I am currently working on my dissertation for Doctor of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary with a core in Missional Leadership. My dad was a pastor. I was born in Greenville. Growing up, we lived in Arcanum, Quincy, Roseville (elementary years), Belle Center (Junior High), and Edgerton (High School). Sherry and I have served the following churches: Roll and Oak Chapel (near Upland, Indiana); Cygnet and Jerry City; Farmer, Melbern and William Center Asbury; Fayette; Wheelersburg; Maumee; and Parkview in Miamisburg (a south Dayton suburb). Sherry grew up on a farm near Edgerton and has always been a county girl at heart. You recognize most of the towns in which we’ve served. It really feels like we are coming home to the flat land, farmland of Northwest Ohio. (Did I already say that we are so looking forward to it?) We are anxious to get to know each of you–and the new people you’ll be bringing with you. We pray for fruitful ministry together as we make a difference for Jesus. See you Sunday, Pastor Brad

  • Meet Pastor Brad Martin and family

We are so looking forward to coming to Liberty Chapel and getting to know you all. I

love Jesus, and I’m blessed that he has called me to be a pastor–to be your pastor.

Sherry and I met at Edgerton High School and were married in 1975. We have

five children–four of them grown and they are (in order of appearance):

Becky lives in the Minford area in southern Ohio. Her guy is Craig and her kitty

is Lucy. She is currently in the throes of moving to a different house because she wants to be like her mom and

    dad.

Jim lives in Hilliard (Columbus). He is engaged to Courtney, and they are planning a July 2015

wedding. Courtney has a four-year-old son, Jordan, who calls us Mamaw and Papa Martin, and we love this

grand parenting experience. Jim works in Columbus at CAS and puts to use both his chemistry degree and his

    knowledge of computers.

Pete lives in the Denver area (Northglenn) and has our only granddog, Rowdy the Rhodesian

Ridgeback. Pete is a microbiologist and travels the U.S. teaching proper use of lab equipment to keep our food

supply safe. He loves traveling and meeting new people. Once in a while he even makes it to Ohio just to visit

    family.

Andy also lives in the Denver area (Englewood) and is a

computer programmer. In May 2014, he married Kelsie

bringing a second daughter into our family. They recently

became the proud parents, er owners, of several tropical

fish. None of whom we have met in person yet.

Leah is seventeen months old. She came to live with us

when she was six weeks old. It was not safe for her to stay in her

biological parents’ home. Although it was a big adjustment to

go from empty nest to new parents, Leah has brought so much

joy into our lives we couldn’t imagine it any differently.

A graduate of Taylor University (B.A.), I majored in

Biblical Literature. I attended United Theological Seminary and

graduated from Methodist Theological School (M.Div.). I am currently working on my dissertation for Doctor

of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary with a core in Missional Leadership.

My dad was a pastor. I was born in Greenville. Growing up, we lived in Arcanum, Quincy, Roseville

(elementary years), Belle Center (Junior High), and Edgerton (High School). Sherry and I have served the

following churches: Roll and Oak Chapel (near Upland, Indiana); Cygnet and Jerry City; Farmer, Melbern and

William Center Asbury; Fayette; Wheelersburg; Maumee; and Parkview in Miamisburg (a south Dayton

    suburb).

Sherry grew up on a farm near Edgerton and has always been a county girl at heart. You recognize most

of the towns in which we’ve served. It really feels like we are coming home to the flat land, farmland of

Northwest Ohio. (Did I already say that we are so looking forward to it?)

We are anxious to get to know each of you–and the new people you’ll be bringing with you. We pray for

fruitful ministry together as we make a difference for Jesus.

    See you Sunday,

    Pastor Brad

HELP A VET WHO NEEDS A FRIEND My son-in-law Eric Gutierrez is being treated for MS and PTSD caused by his service in Iraq. He is at

Whitehouse Country Manor nursing home. Being reminded he has friends here will help to speed his recovery.

The VA would like someone to go along with Eric on his medical appointments to the Veterans Medical Center

in Toledo. Visits are about a half an hour to an hour long.

    1. If you can spare the time, you may ride along to the appointment and back to the nursing home. The VA. provides a Black and White cab. Arrive at Whitehouse Country Manor 11239 Waterville Rd. in

Whitehouse (Archbold Whitehouse Road) one hour and 15 minutes before his appointment time. You

will be back about an hour after his appointment.

    2. Or drive to the Veteran’s Medical Center at 1200 South Detroit Avenue in Toledo to take him home after his appointment.

Currently I am looking for volunteers to fill the following Fridays: July 11, July 18 and July 25. Each of these

    appointment times is 1:00 – 2:00.
