HISTORY

• Bauer goes back to 1953 with the launch of ‘Angling times’ and the addition of ‘Motorcycle news’.

• In 1990, Bauer extended to radio as well as magazines. The first was Kiss FM

• In 1996, ‘The Box’ and ‘Channel 4’ TV channels joined Bauer media

• Closer magazine was launched in 2002 and Grazier weekly was launched in 2005

• Currently, Bauer owns over 80 brand names covering different interests.

“Heat is the brand that sets the agenda of popular culture and fuels conversation around the world of the famous.”• It covers celebrity gossip, fashion and beauty and entertainment.

• It now has there own radio station – Heat Radio

• As of 2012 Heat launched their own app• First launched in February 1999 it

wasn’t an instant success but after several revamps and as of 2004 it is one of the UKs biggest selling weekly magazines.

BBC BRAND

• CBeebies is the brand used by the BBC for children aged 6 or under

• The name is used to brand the free-to-air is supported by advertising, subscription or both.

• The channel was first launched on 11 February 2002.

• The channel has won a number of awards. At the BAFTA Children's Awards, it won awards in 2002 and in every year between 2004 and 2009, including "Best Pre-school Live Action Series" in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2008. It has also won "Best Schools Programme – 0–6 years" awards

• CBeebies is the most-watched children's channel in the UK.

BBC BRAND – BBC MUSIC• BBC Music Magazine is a monthly magazine. • The first issue appeared in June 1992. • BBC Worldwide was the original owner and

publisher together with the Warner Music Enterprises

• Devoted to classical music, though with sections on jazz and world music. Each edition comes with an audio CD.

• The magazine's circulation is 37,530. Profits "are returned to the BBC“.

• The classical and jazz music indicate it is targeted at an elder age group from 40+
