    Objectivos e competncias

seguintes media: mdulo 1 Fotografia digital (4 semanas),mdulo 2 Vdeo digital (4 semanas), mdulo 3 udio digital(4 semanas) e mdulo 4 Programao (workshops).

    Aims, Skills And Learning Outcomes

The main aim of this curricular unit is to establish a generalapproach to a multiplicity of media relevant to the practiceof communication design, through a generic introduction toits specific technologies and basic concepts in interdepend-ent modules.

Through the development of small projects the studentswill develop generic skills in the fields of digital photogra-phy, video, audio and programming. In the end of thesemester the students will have accomplish an informal

contact with multiple media relevant to their daily curricu-lar practice that will be further developed in subsequentcurricular units of a more specific nature.

    Program

The program will be distributed into four interdependentmodules. Sequentially and focusing in the production of"images" we will approach the following media technolo-gies: module 1 Digital Photography (4 weeks), module 2Digital Video (4 weeks), module 3 Digital Audio (4 weeks),

and module 4 Programming (workshops). Every modulewill be developed through the production/post-productionof small experimental projects with specific goals.

    Teaching Methods

Teaching methods include the exposition, analysis anddiscussion of relevant materials in order to establish apermanent discussion forum among the student workingteams. And the setting in place the idea of the creative labas a space of experimentation and exploration, individuallyor collectively developing projects in order to implementscientific contents and consolidate technical skills.

    Final Mark

The final mark will be calculated from the mean average of

every project evaluation, and its articulation with aqualitative evaluation of the students' contributions in classand all the remaining all curricular activities.

Non delivered projects will be scored with a zero.

Projects delivered beyond the established deadlines will bepenalized in its score by 25%.
