9.1 Clarification Tank 1 Unit

Arrangement : This tank receives crude oil from the crude oil pumps. Staticseparation of the lighter oil phase from the heavier sludge

portion takes place in the tank.

Type : Vertical cylindrical tank. The tank shall be supported by 8 steel

structures evenly spaced.

Capacity : 90 cu. meters.

Construction : a) The tank shall be fabricated from 50% MS plate 8mm and

the rest 6mm.b) The conical cone shall be joined to the bottom of the

cylindrical shell with direct double butt welds with MSplate 8mm

c) The clarifier oil inlet pipe shall be 100 mm N.B. API sch

40. A rising stem hand wheel shall activate rising and

lowering of the flow impingement plate. All pipe out/inlet

connected to tank shall be API Sch 40 pipe.

d. Skirt support made of MS plate 9mm thk stiffened with MSplate 6mm and base plate of 15mm thk

e. Hinged inspection manhole with 50mm raised lip is to beprovided for access to the tank internal and for operating

the oil skimmers. Monkey ladder MS bar 12 dia. Shall be

installed.

f. Safety handrails of 1067 high comprising of 38mm dia.pipe for the top rail & balusters and 32mm dia. N.B. formid rail. Toe board of 100 x 4.5mm thk ms flat rigidly

welded.

g. The top & bottom circular rim of the tank shall bestrengthened with fully welded 50 x 6mm flat stiffening

ring respectively. 1 nos SS adjustable oil skimmer funnel

c/w clamp support and hand wheels shall be provided.

h. Top of the tank shall be braced with 200x80 RSC bracedwith 75x75 M.S. angle and cover with 4.5mm thick

chequered plate all over.

i. Access to the top shall be provided with staircase from thefloor and from sludge tank platform.

Accessories : a) Stainless steel agitator mounted onto a SS shaft of

dia.76mm SS sch 40 pipes driven by a 1.5 kW geared

motor speed reducer to a final speed of 6 rpm, sf 1.5. The

paddles shall be SUS 304 material.

b) Level indicator.

c) The tank shall be insulated with 50mm thick rockwool and

covered with aluminium sheet of 22 SWG.

b) Closed and open SUS sch 10 steam coil pipes. Hot waterpipe shall be sch 10 SUS pipe.

c) 150 dia. face temperature gauges c/w S.S. pocket/cockrange 0-150 C install at suitable position.

d) Interconnecting platform between tanks.e) A CI body ball valve with SS ball & PTFE seat and flange

to ANSI 100 drain valve shall be installed for drainingpurpose.

f) Thermostatic temperature control system of 50 dia. Cloriusmake shall be provided for the maintain the tank

temperature.

g) Steam Trap shall be of 25 mm diameter

9.2 Sludge Holding Tank 1 Unit

Arrangement : To receive sludge from the clarification tank.

Type : Vertical cylindrical tank.

Capacity : approx. 15 cu. meters.

Construction : The tank shall be fabricated from 8mm thick steel plates. The

conical section shall be of 8mm thick plate.

An external level indicator c/w fabricated SS Float and M.S

level gauge, pulleys etc shall Also be provided.

Hinged inspection manhole with 50mm raised lip is to be

provided for access to the tank internal and for operating the oil

skimmers. Monkey ladder MS bar 12 dia. Shall be installed.

All inlet/outlet pipes attached to the tank Shall be API Sch 40

pipe.

Open steam coils shall be sch 10 SUS pipes 75mm

N.B. The opened coil shall be drilled with 2 rows 3mm diaholes at 150mm c/c staggered.

The tank shall be insulated with 50mm thick Rock wool and

covered with aluminium cladding sheet of 22 SWG.

One 150 mm dia. dial 0-150 C SS Thermometer c/w SS pocket.

One CI body with SS 304 Ball & PTFE seat flange to ANSI 75

makes Drain valve shall be Installed for draining purpose

Mild Steel RSC Support for Vibrating Screen to be

installed at the top of the tank. Waste chute from V.S. tobottom floor shall Be provided.

All nozzle openings to cut and suit at site. All nozzles shall be

API Sch 40 Pipe.

9.3 Pure Oil Tank 1 Unit

Arrangement : To receive the oil fraction from the clarification tank.

Type : Vertical cylindrical tank.

Capacity : approx. 30 cu. meters.

Construction : The tank shall be fabricated from 6mm thick mild steel plates.

The conical section shall be of 6mm thick mild steel plate.

An external level indicator c/w fabricated SS Float and M.S.

level gauge, pulleys etc shall Also be provided.

Closed steam coils shall be sch 10 SUS pipes 75mm N.B. All

inlet/outlet pipes Attached to the tank shall be API Sch 40

Pipe.

The tank shall be insulated with 50mm thick Rock wool and

covered with aluminium cladding Sheet of 22 SWG.

One 150 mm dia. dial 0-150 C SS Thermometer c/w SS pocket.

Thermostatic temperature control system of 50mm dia.

One CI body with SS ball/PTFE seat Flange to ANSI 75 Drain

valve shall be installed for draining Purpose.

A 65 NB oil outlet pipe shall immerged inside the tank &

connected to outlet nozzle to allow clean oil inlet to oil

purifiers.

9.4 Sludge Buffer Tank Pump/Sand Cyclone Pump 1 Unit

Arrangement : To pump the sludge from sludge tank to desander cyclone #1

Type : Centrifugal type, material CA15/CA15/SS

Capacity : 15 m3/hr at 25 meter head

Drive : Aprox speed of pumps 1450 rpm, via pulley and belts. 7.5 kw

Mechanical Seal : Mechanical seal to be of hard material to withstand abrasion.

9.5 Sludge Buffer Tank 1 Unit

Arrangement : The tank is to receive the desanding sludge and act as Sludge

distribution/feed tank and deliver to sludge separators.

Type : MS tank 1.5m x1.5m x 1.5m(to suit)

Capacity : Approximate 3m3.

Construction : The tank shall be fabricated from 6mm thick MS suitablystiffened by angles stiffener. It shall have a 3 mm cover

Arrangement : To receive condensate from sludge/pure oil tank/clarifier tank

etc, Condensate from pits and Separators etc.

stiffened by angles stiffener. It shall have a 3mm cover.

9.7 Reclaimed Oil Tank Pumps 1 Unit

9.14 Oil Recovery Tank 1 Unit

Arrangement : To recover oil from the sterilizer condensate/sludge

Type : Mild steel cylindrical top section & conical bottom supportedby steel section, elevated from ground level.


Construction : The construction & specification of the tank as shown in the

drawing. The tank is to be fabricated from 6mm thk MS plate

c/w 100 x 50 x 9.36 kg/m RSC stiffener ring. The conical

section is to be fabricated from 6mm thk MS.

Hinged inspection manhole with 50mm raised lip is to beprovided for access to the tank internal and for operating the oil


An external level indicator c/w fabricated S steel float, S steel

flexible cable, level gauge, pulley etc shall be provided.

Steam coil shall be constructed from 75mm Sch 10 SS steel

pipe and with the coil end blanked off. The finish coil shall be

drilled with 2 row of 3mm dia. Holes @ 150 c/c staggered.

The completed tank is to be supported by 6 nos 150 x 150 UC

fully welded to 10mm thk ms plate which is fully welded to the

circumferential plate of the tank. The column base plate shall

be of 20mm thk ms plate fully welded to the column. Eachcolumn is to be rigidly braced by 75x75x6 RSA.

Top roofing shall be 4.5 thk chequered plate c/w 40mm N.B.

handrailing & kicking plate c/w monkey access ladder

9.16 Clarification Station Structural Platform 1 lot

Arrangement : To Support All Clarification Equipments etc mild steel bolted

connection.

Construction All structural steel shall in accordance with BS4360 &

fabricated to conform to BS 5950 Part 2:1985 specifications.

All platform decking shall be 4.5 mm thick on the plain

chequered plate. Mild steel angles, channels, I beam plates asshown in the drawings.

Mild steel staircases provided as shown with 4.5mm thick

chequred plate and bent with 25 mm lip, all handrails shall be

38mm NB pipe for the top rail (SS tube) and balusters and

32mm NB pipe for the intermediate rail, and interconnecting

walkway to press structure digester platform.
