Many Heat Transfer problems require lengthy calculations involving several thermophysical properties

Convective Heat Transfer problems often require iterative solutions with each iteration requiring recalculation of properties

TPC is a good option, but numbers must still be entered into calculator by hand for each iteration

An built-in Excel properties calculator allows for rapid calculation of properties exactly where needed

Allows for rapid iterative solution finding (Solver)

Easy to Use Highly Accessible Reduces Data Entry error Increases ability to iterate and obtain

better solutions while enabling students to better understand the systems considered

Excel can be a very powerful tool when equipped with the proper functions

These functions integrated with existing “Convection Workbook” would be an extremely powerful tool for solving and understanding problems
