Q 3. What followed?

Q 7. Actress and the incidento This actress' only public reactions to the incident up to that

time were a press conference afterwards and an article titled "Why Me?" that she wrote for Esquire in December 1982. In that article she wrote that returning to work on the film Svengali with Peter O'Toole "made me fall in love with acting again" after something had shaken her confidence.

o She has been known to walk out of interviews at the mention of someone's name. I never wanted to be the actress who was remembered for that event. Because it didn't have anything to do with me. I was kind of a hapless bystander. But... what a scarring, strange moment in history for me, to be 17 years old, 18 years old, and to be caught up in a drama like that."

Q 8. X,Y & Z (No part points)o X(artist) noted that upon returning to the United States after his vocals

o Upon hearing "Y" later in its developed form, X remarked that the music evoked the sense of being on an exotic island during a "peachy color[ed]" sunrise. He elaborated that the title does not simply refer to a sexual act, but to the fortune of meeting with and immediately connecting to someone.

3.o The band was formed by front-man Gerard Way and drummer

Matt Pelissier soon after the September 11 attacks. Witnessing the World Trade Center towers fall influenced Way's life to the extent that he decided to start a band. Way wrote the song "Skylines and Turnstiles" to express his feelings about September 11 and shortly thereafter, Ray Toro was recruited because at the time Way could not sing and play the guitar at the same time.

o The name of the band was suggested by bass guitarist Mikey Way, younger brother of Gerard, who was working in a Barnes & Noble when he was struck by the title of a book by Irvine Welsh named Ecstasy: Three Tales of _____ ______

Eventually, one of the band member's father suggested the name X, the name of something he owned in Monterey, California, and the name stuck.

5. o In 1966, London-based session guitarist X joined the blues-influenced rock

band the Yardbirds to replace bassist Paul Samwell-Smith. X soon switched from bass to lead guitar, creating a dual lead guitar line-up with Jeff Beck. The Yardbirds played their final gig in July 1968 in Bedfordshire. They were still committed to several concerts in Scandinavia, so they authorised X and bassist Chris Dreja to use "the Yardbirds" name to fulfill the band's obligations. They began putting a new line-up together.

o After the album's completion, New Yardbirds were forced to change their name after Dreja issued a cease and desist letter, stating that X was allowed to use the that moniker for the Scandinavian dates only. One account of how the new band's name was chosen held that it was suggested that a supergroup with X and Beck would go down like a “___ balloon", an idiom for disastrous results. The group dropped the 'a' in ___ at the suggestion of their manager, so that those unfamiliar with the term would not pronounce it otherwise. The word "balloon" was swapped for “_____", a word which, brought "the perfect combination of heavy and light, combustibility and grace" to X's mind.

In an early promotional interview, the lead vocalist of the band said that the name “X" was a reference to his great-grandmother ____, who was married to a Native American and had a special recipe for peyote-laced ___.

o In a 2006 Rolling Stone cover story however, he admitted that

this story was "total bs", even though he indeed had a great-grandma named ____. The band later settled on “X" after attending a concert by Neil Young, in which he extended his songs as improvisations of 15–20 minutes in length.

• Pearl Jam

Kansas City by Wes Scantlin (vocals/rhythm guitar), Jimmy Allen (guitar), Sean Sammon (bass), and Kenny Burkitt (drums).

In order to get to their practice space, the band "had to walk through a pile of shit."

• Puddle of Mudd

8.
