Page 6: MBA Viewbook

The world is at the fingertips of Georgetown McDonough MBA students. The school offers a diverse faculty and student body: 30 percent of our full-time faculty are international, our students hail from more than 40 countries, and approximately 75 percent have lived, worked, or studied abroad. From the opening term's Structure of Global Industries course to the Global Business Experience capstone, students define their futures through understanding the world.

Global Business Experience (GBE)

Pioneered by Georgetown McDonough more than 20 years ago, the GBE remains a

hallmark of the MBA Program. Student teams partner with executives from Fortune 500

companies, nonprofits, and NGOs to address complex business challenges. After

spending time on campus applying strategic and analytical theory to develop client

solutions, the experience culminates in a week-long in-country presentation to clients.

Since its inception, more than 4,500 students have worked on over 750 GBE projects in

20 cities and 14 countries.

Global Career Conference & Expo (GCCE)

GCCE connects multinational employers with global leadership talent. Annually, the

MBA Career Center and Spain’s ESADE Business School connect some 30 employers

with more than 200 graduating MBA students from leading business schools eager to

work internationally and across cultures.

“In this age of globalization, it’s crucial that we educate future business leaders capable of making complex business decisions in a global environment.”g

—Ricardo Ernst, Professor of Operations and Director, Global Business Initiative

Recent Global Business Experience Locations “I consulted in Istanbul for an Israeli

agricultural tech startup project. Working in an emerging sector and regions I knew little about was an invaluable experience.”
