Chairman’s Letter Pass the Word… With a Megaphone!

Wow, how time flies! It has been a pleasure to serve as Chairman for the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) this past year. I have been lucky to serve this year, as my predecessors, along with the PICA staff, had laid the groundwork for some important and growing progress within our association.

I’m pleased that we can honestly say we are a growing Association, with growing attendance in all our activities, growing sponsor and vendor support, growing educational opportunities and growing ROI for our membership. There is confidence in the future of PRINT and our association.

I’ve especially enjoyed the opportunity to voice my enthusiasm for all that is happening in the world of PRINT in these everchanging, competitive times. PRINT has incorporated new technologies into almost every phase of our organizations and the products and services we bring clients. We have truly connected PRINT with various brand-promotional technologies in ways that generate the highest level of transactional response rates from the American consumer.

Our vendor partners are bringing profitable options and answers to printers of every size to answer the demands of brand-focused organizations across the Carolinas and America. And there is a new optimism in the American economy. PICA, and our membership, are fortunate to be at the geographic center of the largest portion of the American economy and, therefore, at the center of the logistical hub of the growth that is upon us.

I’d like to especially thank Mel Clarke, our incoming Chairman, and Jeff Stoudt, President of PICA, along with his staff, for the hard work and support they have given me and all our members over the past year. Our Association is in outstanding hands going forward.

So, my last hurrah: PRINT is a beautiful place to come to work every day. Our clients need our solutions – desperately. Our sales reps have transaction-generating solutions for those clients and more and more doors are open to us as buyers understand this reality. PRINTERs are growing and investing again as new and expanding technologies are within reach of every size company. And our membership is full of hard working, blue collar men and women that are the heart of America, the greatest country on Earth.

We are lucky and blessed. Now, get to work letting the world know what you can do.

YOU ARE A PRINTER! Phil Kelley, Jr.Chairman, PICASalem [email protected]
