A special announcement:
At our congregational meeting last week, the Governing Board shared that they have hired Pr. Scott Trevithick to be our Sunday morning pastor beginning in June. He will continue to provide mem-ber care, Bible study and staff support on Tuesdays but will now lead worship at all three services. The Governing Board feels that this consistent presence at all of our worship services on Sunday will help our congregation to patiently wait while our new pastor is being deter-mined. Pr. Rick Mills is planning to move back to the Midwest at some point this summer to be closer to family. His last Sunday here will be May 29.
Thank you so much for your flexibility and support! Even though summer is coming soon, please try not to take a “summer break” from worship! We miss you when you are not here!!
Pr. Scott Trevithick
Planning for the End-of-Life Workshop Class
Sunday, May 22 at 3-5pm
This class will be offered in Shepherd Hall with Pastor Scott Trevithick and attorney Barbara Gruenewald. It will address talking with our family and loved ones, planning a memorial service, de-ciding about the disposition of one’s body, and un-derstanding legal tools that help specify one’s end-
of-life wishes. Through presentation, discussion, and personal reflection, participants will be able to consider their own end-of-life wishes, understand their options and resources, and formulate a plan to specify their wishes to family members and other trusted friends. Though sign ups are not required, letting us know you plan to attend will help assure we have enough materials. Please sign up by call-ing the church office at 329-0696 or emailing Mari-beth at [email protected].
