PILGRIMAGE OF FAITH
Our Pilgrimage of Faith Appeal is as follows: To date 181
parishioners have contributed a total of $62,155.00 for an aver-
age gift of $343.40. This is 100% of our Diocesan Goal and
60.8% of our Parish Goal and 77.7% of our overall goal. We
thank all who have contributed to date and encourage all parish-
ioners to participate in this program which is vital to our Dio-

Charles Garnier Parish, May 20th, after the 7pm Sunday Mass,

FATHER PANDOSY STATUE UNVEILING
The unveiling of the Father Pandosy Statue will take place at
the Mission site on May 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be further information coming at a later date. All are
invited to see this magnificent statue of Father Pandosy.

The Knights of Columbus, District 9, will be hosting
a Clergy Appreciation BBQ at Father Pandosy Mis-
sion grounds on Saturday, June 9, 2012. This invitation is ex-
tended to all Parishioners and their families. Lets all come out
and enjoy a day of music, food, camaraderie, games and fun.
Our day, to say thank you to our Parish spiritual leaders will
start at 11am and run until 3pm, and will have a Country Fair

CANADIAN FOOD FOR CHILDREN
VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONIST NEEDED
VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONISTS ALWAYS NEEDED at the
Catholic Pastoral Centre, next to St. Charles Garnier Church,
Kelowna. There are only a dozen or so volunteers currently
available; they would love to have less frequent shifts. Bishop
and Staff are very appreciative of the volunteer’s services.
Volunteers for this ministry, men or women, would need to be
able to take either a 9-1 or 1-4:30 shift, be familiar with Catho-
lic life, be comfortable with learning the simple phone console,
and be able to provide a reference from the pastor of their par-

and eighteen to summer camp during July and
August at Camp Owaissi on the west side of
Okanagan Lake north of Bear Creek Park. Camp
Owaissi is a facility and program run by the Anglican Church.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Charles
Garnier has a special fund to provide opportunities
for children aged sixteen and under (including
preschoolers) to participate in sports or recrea-
tional activities.
This fund was set up to help families who require some finan-
cial help so that their children can access programs that are fun,
healthy, educational or creative. Some choices might be pro-
grams offered by their schools or the Parkinson Recreation
Center such as art classes, soccer, karate, gymnastics, swim-
ming, etc.

CANADIAN DAY OF INFAMY
Monday, May 14 is the 43rd anniversary of the legalization of
abortion in Canada. A mass seeking forgiveness & healing
for the death of over 4 million babies in Canada will be cele-
brated on this day @ 7 pm @ Immaculate Conception
Church. Celebrant will be Fr. Cerlouie. The Rosary and Chap-
let of Mercy will be prayed @ 6:15 pm. As we mourn the
death of these children, we pray for laws to protect the unborn,
the elderly, the handicapped, and healing for the women and
men who have been victimized by abortion. Everyone
is encouraged to join us.
