Baseline Request

State Highway Fund – hold level of appropriation to other agencies flat and request remaining amount for TxDOT

General Revenue – request required amount of debt service for Prop 12 bonds that have already been issued and continuation of baseline amounts from FY 2012-13

Capital Budget Items

Information Technology – outdated IT systems have restricted the Department’s ability to respond to stakeholders and internal decision makers

Equipment – in many cases employees’ effectiveness is negatively impacted as they are working with outdated equipment that requires a great deal of down time and maintenance expenditures

Facilities – after years of postponing needed repairs, there are a number of needs that should be addressed before the working conditions become unsafe.
