COMPETITION RULES FOR 2014

COMPETITION REGISTRATION & BRIEFING:Entrants can register at the competition tent from 4pm Friday 30th of May 2014. The competition tent will be in the car park at The Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club Gympie Tce Noosaville. The brie�ng is compul-sory for all entrants that are registered. The brie�ng will be held at the competition stage at 7pm on Friday 30th of May 2014.

NO ALCOHOL, GLASS BOTTLES OR DOGS ARE PERMITTED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE COMPETITION AREA.

ENTRY ID: Your entry ID must be produced each time you weigh in any �sh species, and also when any prizes are awarded.

WEIGH IN: The o�cial weigh in will be conducted from 7am to 5pm on Saturday and 7am to 1:30pm on Sunday. All �sh will be weighed or measured by o�cials only. O�cials reserve the right to refuse to measure or weigh any suspicious �sh. THE JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL.

BOATING RULES: Skippers and passengers of all vessels must adhere to the relevant rules and regula-tions in regard to licensing and registration. All vessels must carry the relevant safety gear for the areas in which they are �shing. Please refer to the Queensland Transport legislation for further details.

FISHING RULES: All �sh must be taken by rod and reel or hand line. Entrants can weigh in multiple numbers of live �sh for the estuary section but only weigh in one of each o�shore, rock or beach species at each weigh in session. All �sh that are presented for weigh in must be whole (gut in). O�cials reserve the right to gut any �sh for inspection. Fish may be iced down but not frozen when presented for weigh in. UNDERSIZE OR OVERSIZED FISH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All current legal sizes, bag limits and regulations must be adhered to during the competition.

FISHING COMPETITION AREA: All �sh that are entered in the competition must be caught south of Double Island Point and north of the northern tip of Bribie Island.

FRAUD: The management shall have the absolute right to exclude and disqualify persons from the competition in the event that they are suspicious of fraud. This may include suspicion or evidence, such as �sh more than 36 hours from being caught, foreign matter pushed down the mouth or inside the �sh, �sh transported from outside the �shing competition area or the presentation of �sh that have not been caught by a competitor.

JUNIOR COMPETITION: The junior competition is open to all entrants that are under the age of 16 years at the start of the competition. Juniors are eligible to weigh in species across all categories that have been nominated. The junior competition will have a separate prize pool from the senior competi-tion and only the entrants in the junior competition will be eligible to claim any of the prizes that are o�ered. The junior entrants must be there in person to be eligible for any of the prizes.

SENIOR COMPETITION: The senior competition is open to all entrants that are over the age of 16 years at the start of the competition. The senior entrants must be there in person to be eligible for any of the prizes.

NOMINATED SPECIES:Estuary, Rock and Beach species: Bream/Tarwhine, Flathead, Whiting, Trevally, Mangrove Jack, Jew Fish, Dart and Tailor. ALL ESTUARY SPECIES MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE WEIGH IN STATION ALIVE AND IN GOOD CONDITITION. Entrants are to ensure that they have the appropriate live well requirements that will keep the �sh in the best condition possible. Any of the above species caught on the beach or rocks maybe weighed in alive or dead.O�shore species: Snapper, Pearl Perch, Tusk �sh, Cobia, Coral Trout, Sweetlip (only red throat, grass & spangled emperor), Mackerel (all species) and Jew�sh.Barramundi (Photo on brag mat with comp id visible). No dead or live Barramundi to be weighed in.HOW THE WINNERS ARE SELECTED:The longest �sh of each species will be nominated as the winning �sh. In the event of a tie, the heaviest of the �sh that tied will be nominated as the winning �sh for that species. THE JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL.All junior entrants will go into the �nal draw for the Kayaks whether they weigh in a �sh or not. All senior entrants will go into the draw for the boat and trailer packages whether they weigh in a �sh or not. Please note that the entrant must present him or herself on the competition stage within 2 minutes of the draw to claim their prize or it will be redrawn.COMPETITION TIMETABLE:Late registrations will be accepted from 4pm on Friday 30th of May 2014 at the registration tent on site.FRIDAY 30th OF MAY 2014:4PM: Competition site opens (includes bar and food)6.30PM: Random prize draw and ra�es.7PM: Compulsory brie�ng for ALL entrants. 9PM: Bar, food and event access closes.
