Air comes in through our nose and mouth. he trachea I like a tube that gets the air to the lungs. he capillaries are tiny blood vessels that help the respiratory system. First oxygen comes in your nose or mouth. Next air goes down your trachea. hen the air goes down to your lungs. he air goes into your bloodstream. Last it goes to your heart. Your respiratory systems helps you speak and breath. If you like to do that you should wash your hands and keep healthy. You should also drink lots of water and exercise. It is the muscular system! hese are some of the parts. here are 600-650 muscles. I am going to tell you 8 main muscles. hey are the biceps, triceps, deltoid, quadriceps, hamstring and the calf. he 3 main groups are skeletal muscles, cardiac muscles and smooth muscles. his is how it works let me tell you. My muscles crisscross they also help us move they work in pairs. Your leg muscles help us jump they also work together. Did you know your heart is a muscle! Your cardiac muscles can move when you are not even thinking about it. Now I am going to tell how to keep it healthy. You should eat healthy and exercise. To go along with exercising you should run, walk, jog or ride a bike or play sports, push ups and work out. MY TRIP TO TEXASHave you ever been on a family vacation? Well I have. It was a blast! So let me tell you about it. Texas was a 17 hour drive so we stopped at a hotel and stayed over night. When we got there we ate dinner then went to bed. he next day we went shopping then to the Dallas World Aquarium. Next we took a tour of Dallas on a horse. hen we saw where JFK’s assassination was. Ater that we ate and headed back to the hotel. We were there for a whole week! We mostly swam while we were there. I was born in Wisconsin and I lived there until I was four. hen I moved to Clinton so I could be closer to my grandma. he reason we moved to Clinton is that our house in Wisconsin was getting run down and we couldn’t aford to live there so we moved in with my grandma. I am so glad we moved to Clinton because we have a lot of family here. My grandma’s house is really nice and I even have my own room. LAKE OF THE OZARKS Family vacation is fun! he summer of 2016 my family took a vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. We stayed for one week. My Mom, Dad, Bryn, Makenzie and I all went. My family got to do a lot of cool things. We rented a big cabin, went to the beach, went to Jacob’s Cave, and of course shopping! Jacob’s Cave was a big cave that was kind of cold and wet inside, it was still pretty cool though. My Mom, Dad and I like to shop so we got to do some of that too. My name is Allyson Carpenter and this is my story. I am in Taekwondo and I am a blue belt. I’ve won 3rd place in nationals. It was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was six years old when I went the irst time.

I’ve been to four nationals. his year is my last one, because I’m moving to Byron, IL. If I do Taekwondo it will have to be at a new location.

I’ve learned to be respectful to all my instructors and students. he students look up to me as their role model. So I have to do my best role modeling at all times. You learn new things every day. hey go up to ten-degree black belt.

Taekwondo is not all learning. It’s about having fun too. Once in a while the instructors play fun games with us too. I’m really close with my instructors. I have tons of fun there but when one of the instructors are talking you don’t talk because it’s disrespectful. Kids can start Taekwondo when they are four years old. I really enjoy doing it and I think you will too! It’s a very fun sport.--------------------------

It was raining and my uncle and I were riding my four-wheeler at the baseball park in Sabula. It was a big four wheelers, and Justin let me drive. I was only four years old, and I didn’t see the hole that I hit...

I hit the hole and the wheel went in it. he four wheeler lipped. I tried to jump, but I couldn’t. he entire big four wheeler fell on my leg! I didn’t know what was happening. he second that I could, I started screaming.

Justin got his phone and called my mom. Mom came with everyone. I didn’t want that though. Justin was angry at himself. My mom brought me to the hospital. It was so scary. When we got there, my mom found a wheel chair, I got in it of course. hey had to do an x-ray on my leg. It felt like it was broken, but I wasn’t sure at the time because I was really little. he doctor said, “You broke your leg!” I had to go in this room to put my cast on. It kind of hurt, but it was white so everyone could sign it. hen they gave me crutches. I tried to use the crutches, but I fell. I kept trying. I inally got it. Everybody signed my cast.
