AGGST Master's Students: Gaining for TrainingSixty-seven students from 16countries are enrolled in this year'sMaster's session on the centralcampus. The 42 francophonestudents come from 12 nations:Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso,Cameroon, CAR, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Côte d'Ivoire, DRCongo, Gabon, Niger, and Togo.The 25 English-speaking studentshail from 5 nations: Cameroon,Ghana, Nigeria, the USA, and

New Academic Dean Assumes DutiesThose serving on the WAAST staff must often wear severalhats, and Douti Flindja is no exception. To his titles of Librarianand Professor, he has added interim Academic Dean, beginningthe first semester of 2014. Pastor Flindja has served as theschool librarian since 2002 and as a teacher since 2007. Giftedin languages, he teaches Greek I and II as well as other coursesto both French- and English-speakers at the central campus andextension centers. A 2004 and 2009 graduate of WAAST andAGGST, respectively, Pastor Flindja is currently pursuing hisdoctoral degree through Pan-Africa School of Theology, hostedon the WAAST campus.

An Exemplary Servant-Leader with the LordPastor Jean Pawentaoré Ouedraogo was promoted to Heaven on April 24. For more than25 years, Pastor Pawentaoré served as Chairman of WAAST's Board of Governors,ending his tenure in 2003. He promoted and exemplified WAAST's goal of “training for

missio Dei through Pentecostal servanthood.” Over 50+years of ministry, he served as a pastor, church planter,teacher, Bible school director, national youth leader,missions leader, general superintendent of theAssemblies of God of Burkina Faso (1985-2010), andpresident of Africa Assemblies of God Alliance. FormerWAAST president and long-time friend Randy Tarrnotes, “He was a leader with a passion for Jesus and aheart for the lost, and a man of great integrity. He neversought riches for himself; one of his favorite things to dowas to work with his hands out in the field.
