In Sixex your goal is to use your deduction skills and the provided clues to fill in a 4 by 4 grid with the

correct configuration of numbers. The numbers 1 to 10 and six X’s (with a value of 0) are present in each

puzzle.

How to Play:

The clue in the upper right hand corner indicates how many boxes containing numbers are bordering

this box (sides and diagonal). The clue in the upper left hand corner indicates the sum of these

bordering numbers.

So in this example the two numbers (2 and 4) border the box at the top right and the sum of 2 and 4 is 6.

Hints:

It can be helpful to first determine where numbers are contained and where there are only X’s. You may

make a mark in the lower right corner to indicate that this box must contain a number. Each number is

used only once, so cross numbers out of the # bank (to the right of the puzzle) once they are used.

There are many more techniques and strategies that will become apparent once you play through

several puzzles.
