Reminding them that rigor produces better results. RESPECT: Showing students through my actions and words that it's o.k. to have differing opinions. Displaying that I am listening to their ideas. LEARNING: Appreciating that students are learning about themselves, honing their abilities, & conquering their fears. Modeling what I expect them to learn. INTEGRITY: Approaching my decisions with a fair and open mind. Acknowledging that gray areas exist and trying to be flexible along the way. COLLABORATION: Working with students to build a classroom atmosphere that is comfortable for them. Building everyone's confidence in the process.
