The idea is straightforward: podcasts aresimple, and virtual reality can bring themto life.

A start-up called Podrift has combined thetwo, using Facebook’s Oculus Rift’s virtualreality platform to deliver podcasts. The future could be watching a digital versionof a comedian, delivering a podcast fromthe real world comedian!

Duolingo is offering to teach new languages for free. It claims anindependent study proved that 34 hours of Duolingo learning isthe equivalent to 11 weeks of university.

The method Duolingo uses is to try and find the most successfulmethods in teaching a new language. If one method works, it usesthat method to other students. The course keeps evolving usingmultivariate testing and gamification. It’s just like university, with less beer.
