We have a busy but fun couple of weeks ahead. This week we would love to see you at our spirit night at Nandos PERi-PERI tonight. Not having to cook or clean up and supporting PTA activities and programs at Clearview is a win for all of us! Our first PTA meeting of the school year will be tomorrow at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Library and all parents, teacher, administrators and community members are encouraged to attend. Jane Strauss, Fairfax County School Board Member, will be our featured speaker at 7:00 and our business meeting will be held after her presentation. We will be presenting and voting on our budget for the year. Then on Thursday, the PTA will host our annual Back to School Picnic from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on the Clearview lawn. This annual event is a laidback and fun event for all Clearview families, staff and administrators. If you are able to contribute or volunteer to help please email Arpita Patel at [email protected] or see signup on at https://www.clearviewpta.ptboard.com. We could really use more middle school or high school volunteers for this event. I would love to see you at one or more of our PTA events this week! SPIRIT NIGHT ATNANDO’S PERI PERI Tuesday, Sept. 17 | 5:00 - 9:00 PM12120 Sunset Hills Rd. | Reston, VA
40% of the proceeds will be donated back to the Clearview PTA. Enjoy a night o� from cooking and have some delicious food while supporting our wonderful school.
BACK TO SCHOOL PICNICThursday, September 195:30 to 7:30 PM
The Clearview PTA Back to School Picnic will be held on Thursday, September 19th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on the Clearview lawn. This annual event is a laidback and fun event for all Clearview families, sta� and administrators. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and bring your own picnic or purchase chicken sandwiches or hot dogs from the PTA. Drinks, bake sale items and Kona Ice will also be available.
The PTA has a lot of fun activities planned including face painting, balloon twisting, a cake walk and other activities! We will also have a spiritwear table selling various Clearview themed items such as shirts, sweatshirts, socks, hair bows and more! Spiritwear OrdersJust a reminder that Spiritwear Orders are due on September 20th, 2019. You can order by form (there are extra forms at the school’s o�ce) or you can visit https://clearview19.itemorder.com to place an online order. There is a sample of the shirt and forms hanging on the bulletin board next to the School’s o�ce.
New Website!We launched a new website this summer and it is a great place to read announce-ments, see the monthly calendar, sign up to volunteer, download forms and sign up for membership. Clearview International NightThe school sponsored Clearview International Night is on Tuesday, September 26th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the school gym and cafeteria. This year, the PTA will be selling walking tacos along with other drinks and bake sale items. So come out and learn about the many cultures represented at Clearview and support the PTA by purchasing items from the bake sale.
