Every living thing needs food. A house does not need, food, water, or energy, but a flower does.

Cells are in all living things. A tiger has cells and tables do not. You may find things with cells on the table (like bugs) but the table is not living.

All living things have to die sometime. You can never live forever but if you’re a computer you can live tomorrow or die tomorrow.

Living things can reproduce, but rocks can’t.

All living organisms have things that they have to respond to like when it gets cold they find warmth . Paper can sit out in the cold forever but never get up and go in the warmth.

All living things have a chemical in their body that is not the same as anyone else DNA, but chairs have no DNA or RNA they are all the same.

Living things change because they need to we changed. Boards have not changed over time.
